For anyone who received the "you will hear back from us by Feb. 28th" email a month or so ago: have any of you guys heard something back (admitted, WL, ding)? I received it and it's my understanding that most of the people who got that email will either be waitlisted sometime close to Feb. 28th or denied before then.

I should probably contact someone at Georgetown. They invited me to interview and I submitted the information for it, but they haven't gotten back to me to schedule an interview and it's been 11 days. Still, I'm patient and not at all worried.

Does applying ED help your chances here if you're a little bit below LSAT but in 50% range for GPA? What about this late in the application cycle?

Got an email from Dean Cornblatt saying "congratulations again". I never got the first letter. Guess USPS lost it.

Questions about the accepted students trick
1) about how long after you apply does it work if it is going to work
2) what exactly is indicated if the trick does not work? Are you just not accepted all together or is it possible that you are WL or they just haven't made a decision yet?

Also curious about this! Haven't received the feeler email yet and I thought I had good stats for GULC.bartlettadmin wrote:Does anyone know if the merit aid email is sent out to everyone or if some people just get offers without it?
I couldn't find info regarding merit aid online unless I just suck at using the internet.

1) Should be a couple days after an acceptance decision is made, since the acceptance letter has an earlier date than the website working. Could be a week or month after applying.cam1992 wrote:Questions about the accepted students trick

Antsy question for you all. I applied on January 3rd with GPA and LSAT above 75. I haven't heard back for interview, nor have I been dinged. I feel odd just waiting for nothing. Is that normal? I thought Georgetown usually gets back pretty quickly. My application is alright considering acceptances from higher ranked school, but I just really want Gtown due to location.

What will it do if I am not accepted? What is the difference between no decision yet and denial/WL?

FWIW I didn't get a feeler email when they went out, but I sent them an email myself basically just telling them I want to be considered for merit-based aid. They just got back to me with what I assume is similar to the feeler email since it asked me what level of funding would make a difference. Just thought I'd post that here in case anyone else is thinking about reaching out to them about this.

Thank you!! This is incredibly helpful I wonder if this basically means GULC doesn't consider everyone automatically for merit-based aid.PDX4343 wrote:FWIW I didn't get a feeler email when they went out, but I sent them an email myself basically just telling them I want to be considered for merit-based aid. I'm pretty sure there's no difference between denial/WL and no decision yet with the asw trick. But if you haven't gotten emailed yet with a ding/WL/hold, then I guess that means no decision yet. I know they contact via email for all non-acceptances, so I'm assuming they contact you quickly with those once they decide.cam1992 wrote:goldenbear2020 wrote:1) Should be a couple days after an acceptance decision is made, since the acceptance letter has an earlier date than the website working. But I'm worrying about the same stuff right now. I interviewed a month ago and still have no news and the asw trick doesn't work for me

ASW trick seemed to just work for me, or at least I think. I got the email with the info, it just didn't let me sign in with it.
FWIW, I'm above both 75ths, and I participated in the group interview this past Thursday in NYC.

Yeah it definitely seems like the asw trick works for people sooner rather than later. Especially since we're usually told by the interviewer that they'll make a decision within a few weeks.ReadyToStart wrote:ASW trick seemed to just work for me, or at least I think. But there are a few of us out there who still haven't gotten notification of non-acceptance but can't get access to asw, which is incredibly annoying and confusing

I haven't heard anything either. I'm considering a LOCI to avoid a ding. Where did you hear that WL/ding was likely for holds?

No worries! Yeah I'm not quite sure how it works. I was browsing through last year's thread and I saw someone who had not received a feeler email and then sent off an email similar to the one I sent. She ended up getting some merit aid so I thought I'd give it a shot.Christinabruin wrote:Thank you!! Denial and WL are given by email, so assuming you haven't gotten that when you check the ASW, the possible scenarios are accepted (if given a login) or no decision made (if error message).cam1992 wrote:goldenbear2020 wrote:1) Should be a couple days after an acceptance decision is made, since the acceptance letter has an earlier date than the website working. The login info takes 1-3 days to start working, so no worries.ReadyToStart wrote:ASW trick seemed to just work for me, or at least I think. I got the email with the info, it just didn't let me sign in with it.

Went through some of the previous threads and found that most of the people who posted about getting that same email in previous years got waitlisted or dinged (with some exception)! Same email word for word for the past 2/3 years as far as I can tell.jessmeesh wrote:sec_undergrad wrote:For anyone who received the "you will hear back from us by Feb. 28th" email a month or so ago: have any of you guys heard something back (admitted, WL, ding)? Well then I have nothing to lose. May as well write that LOCI.

Did you email admissions or financial aid? I know there's some lawhotline email also but last time I emailed that one I never got a responsePDX4343 wrote:FWIW I didn't get a feeler email when they went out, but I sent them an email myself basically just telling them I want to be considered for merit-based aid.
