Submitted 1/9. I know it's barely been any time, but I feel like I'm dying every day I don't get an interview. I'm a fairly likely ding, so I wish they'd just get on with it so I can emotionally commit to another of my options. Love georgetown too much to give up the dream until I see it in black and white.

Just FYI, interviews aren't necessary to get into Georgetown. I was admitted without doing an interview so don't stress if you don't get one!BostonOrBust wrote:Submitted 1/9. Thanks Christinabruin. Congrats on your admit! My numbers are so lackluster that I'm worried that I'm riding on softs (and an interview might pump that up) so I think that's what's stressing me out. But maybe I'll end up as lucky as you!Christinabruin wrote:Just FYI, interviews aren't necessary to get into Georgetown. Re: Georgetown Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I live in the southern U.S. and received an invitation for an alumni interview (yay!), which I assumed (based on my interactions with other schools), would mean a face-to-face meeting with someone in the large city where I live (and where I know there are some Georgetown alums).
As a result, I was somewhat surprised when the alum who contacted me was actually located in NYC and requested a video interview. Out of my personal curiosity, does anybody have a sense of a) how often alum interviews are in-person v. remote (at least with domestic applicants) and b) how the alums are assigned to applicants?
Thanks!

Just got an invitation for an alumni interview. Anybody knowledgeable about what this bodes for an overall application? Do most folks receive requests for these interviews?
Also, generally speaking, is the make-up of the interview similar to a traditional interview, or does it often come with a twist being a non-admissions person?

Also just got an interview invite. They say it doesn't reflect negatively if you don't take it which to me just means it's an opportunity to do something that will reflect negatively. lmao. Oh well, I'm gonna get this ball rolling. I need to be better at interviews and practice makes perfect! (Now one of these non-interviewing schools plz give me some good news).

I was able to access the admitted student website today! I guess that makes it official (even without my letter yet)

I'm not exactly sure because my status tracker never listed the date I went complete, it just said it was complete. I'm pretty sure it was within the first week that I submitted my app which was January 3rd.xandra_v wrote:When did you go complete? And thanks for the info!Instrumental wrote:Yes. Dean Cornblatt said we would hear back 2-3 weeks after the interview. It's been more than 3 weeks for me. Should I email them? I can't get in via ASW, but I also haven't received a rejection...

I think JJCorvino did the group interview two weeks ago, and he was able to get in a week later via ASW. If it's been more than 3 weeks then perhaps I'd contact. Do you know anyone who was with you in the group interview that you can contact to see if he/she got in?S.Picquery wrote:Group with the Dean.StopLawying wrote:Did you do group or alumni interview?S.Picquery wrote:Dean Cornblatt said we would hear back 2-3 weeks after the interview. I interviewed around a week ago and have heard nothing yet either. Starting to get nervous that there are a limited number of spots left and that the school is getting choosy.

Yep, interviewed with the group on 1/16. I was able to get my username/pw on Tuesday and was finally able to access the website today. Still have not received my official letter (and I live in DC, so I would probably be first to get it).StopLawying wrote:I think JJCorvino did the group interview two weeks ago, and he was able to get in a week later via ASW.
