Did anyone who got preferred waitlisted/waitlisted do an interview? On the flipside, did anyone who do an interview get waitlisted?

I interviewed and was then waitlisted.

Just did the ASW thing and it worked!

Very strange because I did an alumni interview like a month ago and haven't heard anything back.

YP. You're gonna be just fine.
Send a LOCI and you'll probably be fine.

Found this in the Georgetown c/o 2018 thread:

"Based on comments on this board I requested a password on the ASW using my last name and email address. I received the following reply: "Your Username and Password were successfully sent to your email address." Does this really mean with unequivocal certainty that I am admitted?

Yes.

Hope so. I was unable to log in with the user name and password provided in the email generated in response to my request. How long did it take others to be able to log in and eventually get their snail or email from admissions?

Just a few messages above you somebody said it took them ~5 days to be able to log in. Snail mail will vary depending on where you live. I don't think they email anything?"

So seems like this is a somewhat normal thing. Which is good news!

I hope it's just some technical issue that some activation takes some time. Another guy with our situation received his letter yesterday, postmarked on Monday, the day we got the email. I'm sitting at home, looking out of the window, waiting for the delivery man, with a cup of latte. Cheers. Lol.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but does anyone know (from personal experience or otherwise) if it would be worthwhile for me to submit a retroactive Why Gtown essay? Looking at some of the outcomes that are being posted here, I'm realizing that YP seems to be an actual thing (despite my serious interest in Georgetown)

LSAT = 75th, GPA > 75th, complete 12/2, submitted one optional essay, no word yet (but I know it's sorta early)
Literally as I posted this I got an interview request via email-- haha nevermind! (unless it would still be useful...?)

I'm pretty sure they'll ask in your interview, so just have your reasons ready for that and you should be good.

Not true at all for me. My interview was super unconventional (and enjoyable). They asked us what we would advise the dean of admissions regarding character issues of various applicants, and to offer some justification for that advice.

That was the entire interview.
Does that seem to be the standard?
I just got invited to interview and I'm a candidate for YP so I'm wondering how much I should prepare.

Was yours a group interview? In my alumni interview, they asked why I was excited about Georgetown, but it was just one small part of the interview.

Is it true that Georgetown only interviews applicants that are in the DC area?

No it's not. I'm in Ohio and one of the Georgetown grads in my office has done interviews here locally.

I had my alumni interview today! It went just as most previous commenters said theirs did: it was more of an engaging conversation covering my intent in pursuing law, plans during and after law school, and my interest in GULC in particular. I had a lovely time.

Has anyone applied to the Global Law Scholars program?

I did the ASW trick and got in so I assume I've been admitted but I couldn't apply to the GLS program because the website wouldn't let me so I don't know what to think anymore. :/

Also haven't heard anything from the school in like a month.
