Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Has anyone been rejected at all yet? I have two little ones and a husband with a job, so I am pretty glued to not moving and going to UF...I have been on review complete- no decision made since 1/23 and think I might just die ! Putting my deposit in to UM and will GLADLY lose it if UF sends me an acceptance! Still not sure if I can put my family through that move and leaving my husband 8 hours away to support us !

Nope, and we've both been No Decision since 1/23. Stay positive!jcapp wrote:Has anyone been rejected at all yet? According to LSN there is a storm of accepts/denys on the 4/28 (according to last year). Its also a very random wave (a 157 got rejected while a 152 was waitlisted). UR2 sweep coming up next week Im supposing.

Nada. Went impulse shopping to distract myself. I bought a Gators bracelet so I've got more than just a CAS report fee invested now. Lo mein sounds like the next dose of medication.mjw36 wrote:Nope. SO glad at least I'm not the only one that has been on review for that long!

Hey y'all! I've been creeping on this thread for a while but I just wanted to chime in. I'm not sure they have rejected anyone yet? I have terrible numbers for uf, under 25% for both Lsat and gpa. I got the initial review complete no desicion made too. I am an URM but I don't have high hopes! Maybe il get lucky but im confused to why the school hasn't rejected anyone outright yet, doesn't make any sense ???

There are 4 new members on the FB page....not that it technically means anything but maybe a few new admits over the last few days. Hard to believe they have put out zero rejections so late though....Nobody knows anyone that has been been rejected?

I haven't seen any rejections yet, but then again nobody is high on posting rejections regardless. This is a very interesting approach they're taking in my opinion. They are losing qualified candidates to other schools because most seat deposits were due a few days ago. I'm not sure what the plan is but maybe they're taking a holistic approach? Like I said it's a huge reach for me but I'm somewhat hopeful I haven't been rejected yet, but maybe they are gonna send them in waves.

That's what I've been thinking regarding rejections, I wouldn't post it either. Definitely an interesting approach and not sure if it'll work in their favor. I'm confused on the holistic approach claim tho, I have seen people post with GPA well below the median being admitted, making me think it's moreso an LSAT numbers game... If they're taking a holistic approach I am not seeing it based on that. Just not sure if I should keep my hopes up, or move forward.NeverfoundNemo wrote:jcapp wrote:NeverfoundNemo wrote:Hey y'all! I wasn't saying they are taking a holistic approach, I was just guessing. I don't know what they're doing. I'd rather be flat out rejected than to get my hopes up and then be told I'm rejected. Which is why it doesn't make sense for them not to reject people? ? Why keep people waiting if they are getting rejected anyway? There has to be some rejections already or the class is just weak in general and they now have to decide who they can let in without hurting their rankings.Lawschool629 wrote:That's what I've been thinking regarding rejections, I wouldn't post it either. They do say they use a holistic approach :/ it just doesn't appear it's that holistic to me and yeah I totally agree I'd rather know than keep wondering

Just an FYI regarding the FB page - Current students join those groups as well to help answer any questions new students have, so I wouldn't rely on that too much cause you don't know exactly who is joining.jcapp wrote:NeverfoundNemo wrote:Hey y'all! How long did it take for your statuses to go from "Application Under Review" to "Review Complete - No Decision Made"?

Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I went complete and under review on Dec 7th. I received a decision Jan. 20th. I don't know exact dates but that's about 6 weeks and I was at "no decision" for about 3 weeks. So about 3 or so weeks until "no decision made". They're definitely doing things differently this year. Last year I was accepted in like 18 days and there was no "no decision made" status at all.MMJM wrote:How long did it take for your statuses to go from "Application Under Review" to "Review Complete - No Decision Made"?

According to reddit, someone called UF and the only movement coming this week apparently is the WL. Not the "No Decision" but the actual official purgatory. Insane

Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I'm not sure if this information is relevant. I just received an email reply from UF regarding touring the campus. I've been in "No Decision Made" Status since March 19. I requested to tour the campus about 3 weeks ago, but heard nothing back until yesterday. So I'm not sure if this is a good sign for me as they are considering admitting me, for everyone still waiting as there is some movements, or it's just no big deal as I'm thinking too much.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
