Okay, this makes so much more sense now. Numbers still down, but not nearly as big a variation as the Spivey reported %change led me to believe.R. Jeeves wrote:i dont think they did
Percentage Change = (Previous # - Current #)/(Current #)
I think they did
Percentage Change = (Current # - Previous #)/(Current #)
eta: and realized i mistyped that in the spivey thread - just edited it.
so they only switched Current # and Previous # in the denominator, their numerator is fine, so the signs should come out right i think. but ill check this again a bit later, since I cant access your google doc while Im at work.

How did people incorporate Why Harvard? Does everyone submit an Optional Essay?

I didn't and I think conventional wisdom is don't. Harvard knows "why Harvard" to try and write something that is both powerful and original would be an almost impossible feat. Best to just show them why you and not worry that anyone at Harvard would ever fear you are insincere in your applicationlawbatman wrote:How did people incorporate Why Harvard? I did, but I had a really unique situation for why them specifically, I agree that in almost all cases there's no point in writing "Why Harvard" because it's self-explanatory.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:I didn't and I think conventional wisdom is don't.
