I'll cross my fingers for you to get a JS1 if you do the same for me *we're all in this together*. But seriously though, good luck!VA2lawschool wrote:Can confirm this. I feel like I should have at least heard something from Harvard. Is this normal or are they waiting until the last second? Sorry, I'm just a bit antsy since the deadline for admissions is in a month
*Edit* I forgot to note that I'm an AA female. Do they treat URMs differently in terms of when either offers or waitlists/rejections normally go out?
2. I think it is normal. Law school admission is a somewhat unpredictable process. I have seen many people (a good portion of whom are URMs) who are superior to me in terms of the numbers but didn't even get an interview offer.

No, the last JS2 seemed to only include people who interviewed up to 2/3.sigree wrote:Does it seem like they do JS1s and the next wave of JS2s from that pool? If there has been a JS2 wave since my JS1 - can I assume I've been passed over?
"No" to what? My interview was 2/2, would it be logical to assume that the next wave of JS2s will be only from 2/4 and on?ytrewq321 wrote:No, the last JS2 seemed to only include people who interviewed up to 2/3.sigree wrote:Does it seem like they do JS1s and the next wave of JS2s from that pool? No. There were first-round waiters in the last wave. There are first, second, third, etc. round-waiters, outstanding.

No. There are always a bunch of people from as early as November/December in even the very last JS2 wave. If you've had a JS1, it's not even close to close to being over until April 1.sigree wrote:Does it seem like they do JS1s and the next wave of JS2s from that pool? You asked 'can I assume I've been passed over' and the general answer to that is no since JS2 waves include people from the beginning of the cycle up until sometime before the wave. If you don't make one wave you can still get in in another.sigree wrote:"No" to what? Thanks for taking the time to respond. I hope we'll both hear good news and soon.ytrewq321 wrote:You asked 'can I assume I've been passed over' and the general answer to that is no since JS2 waves include people from the beginning of the cycle up until sometime before the wave. EDIT: good luck! I interviewed around the same time as you.

There's a 2/9 JS1 on the spreadsheet. That being said, there are a slew of earlier JS1s who haven't heard back.dyebri wrote:ytrewq321 wrote:You asked 'can I assume I've been passed over' and the general answer to that is no since JS2 waves include people from the beginning of the cycle up until sometime before the wave. I have interviewed on 2/7. Does anyone know if in the last wave of JS2 people from 2/7 were included
It seems like (according to other users) only JS1s up until 2/3 were included in the last JS2 wave.dyebri wrote:ytrewq321 wrote:You asked 'can I assume I've been passed over' and the general answer to that is no since JS2 waves include people from the beginning of the cycle up until sometime before the wave. I saw 6 or so open tomorrow when I checked a while ago, all filled up now. 7 open Wednesday, all in the afternoon. 6 more open Thursday morning.appind wrote:someone post the # of slots open in the coming days/weeks?

Could there be a JS2 wave *after* 4/1 consisting of people who went complete after 2/1? It would be unprecedented, but this cycle already is in many ways.Pozzo wrote:I saw 6 or so open tomorrow when I checked a while ago, all filled up now. 7 open Wednesday, all in the afternoon. 6 more open Thursday morning.appind wrote:someone post the # of slots open in the coming days/weeks?
Speculate at will.
Anyone who's been following the saga from day 1 have any insight on standard timing for JS1 emails/notification? Aka can I leave my email alone for a while or nah...Pozzo wrote:I saw 6 or so open tomorrow when I checked a while ago, all filled up now. 7 open Wednesday, all in the afternoon. 6 more open Thursday morning.appind wrote:someone post the # of slots open in the coming days/weeks?

JS2 wave Wednesday morning that's why there are no interviews scheduled. Exactly four weeks from the last one.Pozzo wrote:I saw 6 or so open tomorrow when I checked a while ago, all filled up now. 7 open Wednesday, all in the afternoon. 6 more open Thursday morning.appind wrote:someone post the # of slots open in the coming days/weeks?
