This is the first I have heard of this anecdotal evidence. I mean, it is likely you will be rejected again if nothing changed, but a 10 pt LSAT bump etc. could change things.wheathins wrote:Is there anyone here who got into HLS who was rejected before?
Anecdotally, if you've been rejected before, you're pretty much done, right?

Has anyone gotten their admission packet in the mail yet? I confirmed my address day of admission, but I still haven't received mine after 10 days.

Obviously I will never expect to be in a js2 wave, but there must be some amount of time I can expect to NOT be in one right?Pozzo wrote:A million.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:JS 1 yesterday, for how many weeks should I unsubscribe from this thread before I can safely start looking at js2 waves?

Check the spreadsheets from this year and last. They will give an idea of wait time.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Obviously I will never expect to be in a js2 wave, but there must be some amount of time I can expect to NOT be in one right?Pozzo wrote:A million.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:JS 1 yesterday, for how many weeks should I unsubscribe from this thread before I can safely start looking at js2 waves?

3.6, 173... feb retake pending....
would the right move for me to be:
request that my application be put on hold until new score is in?
go forward with review now?
I think i might have gotten a 175-177, but really can't be sure. so hard to tell

personally, i would be to simply notify them that you retook the February LSAT. i don't think any of us truly know how it works on their end, but intuitively i don't think that requesting a hold would improve your chances over a simple notification (which gives them the option to review your app now and recognize you're a strong candidate with a 173, or decide to hold it and wait for your score).quigleyest wrote:3.6, 173... feb retake pending....

just my two cents, based off of nothing more than what i would do if i was in your position.

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I also retook in Feb and asked them to hold my app. My original LSAT was lower than yours (170) but my GPA is higher (3.9). I did have a JS1 already, but I didn't expect to get an answer any time soon because I was a borderline candidate, so I figured there was no harm in waiting, but it would SUCK to be rejected before getting my (potentially higher) new score. So I'd say--ask them to hold it. You're not going to miss out on a scholarship for being accepted later, and quite honestly a LOT of people don't get in until the end of March anyway, which is after the Feb scores will be out.quigleyest wrote:3.6, 173... feb retake pending....

Maybe if I lurk around campus more they'll toss me a JS1 to cut down on the campus police budget

He mentioned he has a 3.6 so it would make sense to retake.canafsa wrote: Disregard this if I am mistaken and they are not informed, or if your GPA is sub 3.86.
