Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
SOMEONE HELP ME
I am an ED candidate and got held. But now my status checker says "DLS available within 24 hours"
I can't remember if this is just referring to my being put on hold last Friday or if my status checked updated once again.
Did other ED folks who got held get a status checker with DLS?
Edit: decision status update was 12/16/16 which was last Friday so yeah I'm now thinking this is referring to my hold letter

Calpolisci2016 I'm in the same boat. I'm ssuming ED holds are not part of this round of RD acceptances.

Think we'll see more decisions this week, or done for the year?

How long did it take everyone's apps to go complete after interviewing? I know it says 3-5 business days but it's been longer for me.

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I gave them a call after 8 business days without going complete. It seemed like they knew I had already completed an interview and just had to check that box, so it seems like sometimes interview status does get lost in the fold. I called that early because it was Nov 30th and I was applying ED, so I had to go complete by Dec 1. Otherwise I would have probably waited a while longer before reaching out.brinicolec wrote:How long did it take everyone's apps to go complete after interviewing? I'm trying to decide whether I should call this week since we're about to enter a holiday break or just wait until January.

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Just did my online interviews for NW and a couple other places. I thought I answered everything pretty decently, but on like 2/3's of the questions I had about 5 seconds leftover so my brain kept saying "don't awkwardly sit there or end early, just say a wrap-up sentence." Got cut off on the last word or two every single time. Thanks for nothing, brain.

Adding in my two cents- I went complete about 3 days after interviewing. Maybe there's a delay with the impending holiday season? I wouldn't be too nervous about 8 days though, they're probably processing loads of apps at the moment.brinicolec wrote:Oh wow, how strange.chargers21 wrote:They lost track of my app, too. I ended early for a bunch of questions on both my NU and Cornell interviews. Figured it would be better than awkwardly trying to come up with more to say, but now I'm worried it shows lack of effort on my part lolSarastro wrote:Just did my online interviews for NW and a couple other places. The actual interviews don't have the option to press the space bar to end the video like the practice sessions do???addie1412 wrote:I ended early for a bunch of questions on both my NU and Cornell interviews. I don't think it shows a lack of effort. I hope it doesn't, at least...I ended 2-3 of mine early.addie1412 wrote:I ended early for a bunch of questions on both my NU and Cornell interviews. Finally went complete yesterday (12/21) after an off-campus interview on 12/5. Now for more waiting... Anyone have an estimate on how long RD decisions typically take after going complete?

Mine took two weeks exactly. I imagine yours would be faster because of an interview, but then again it is the holiday season so maybe it will also take two weeks?nicola27 wrote:Finally went complete yesterday (12/21) after an off-campus interview on 12/5. Azalea I think you were an outlier, not many got in during that first wave, most of us have been waiting months and will likely hear in January!nicola27 wrote:Aaaaah ok thank you! Yup. I was also surprised. Northwestern was a weird one for me, so maybe take me with a grain of salt - URM not withstanding apparently no one else has heard that fast so I shall retreat to my corner.btruj777 wrote:azaleafire wrote:Mine took two weeks exactly. I'm sorry to bother you guys, but I'm afraid I've bungled my app. I submitted over a month ago, and said I wanted to interview in the app as I was still within the window. But like they've not hit me up for an interview.... and my application is still incomplete.
Was I supposed to do something else to seek out the interview? should I have just avoided the thing altogether? Or am fine and just waiting it out?

Aside from clicking on the option in you app, you also need to request an interview here to actually receive an interview request and go complete: https://apply.law.northwestern.edu/regi ... est2016-17

Welp, I knew exactly what I was getting into and have done it three times now between schools and work, but I can never get over the online interview process.
