First, congrats on your admit. We have very similar numbers, except I have a pretty unique background so I think that's why Berkeley admitted me. But in general I think you're probably the exception and not the rule, seeing as most Berkeley admits either have a high gpa, a unique background and/or sorts, or a mix of all 3. High LSATs don't seem to be as important. I could be wrong though.cooldog wrote:Actually I don't think that's my case. My GPA is 3.6X but my LSAT is decent (170). Very average softs as well. I just took a look at the new data points from those who have updated their results on LSN. Granted, the sample size isn't very large (7 people) and I'm sure this will change after more people input their data, but it's interesting to note that all the 170+ scorers so far in this round of FR were either waitlisted or rejected.

That makes sense. I don't follow the whole thing very closely to know school's tastes, but happy that im the exceptionAssasindowntheavenue wrote:First, congrats on your admit. Congratulations to all who got in today - I am quite envious of you all!
To my fellow 2/6 UR1 folks - it's our turn next, I think.

Do they send emails for the WL?
Like I feel like I need more info about what to do about staying on the waitlist, etc.
If so when should I expect the email ?

No change on mine either - still UR1 with 2/6 as the status date. But they were going through apps and getting decisions out really quickly up until the day we went UR haha.TakeItToTrial wrote:Are you still UR1? or have you moved to UR2/FR?chandhi wrote:Congratulations to all who got in today - I am quite envious of you all!

Do you think we'll hear tomorrow? Or sometime later?
In the past it seemed like most acceptances came out by the end of Feb.

I would guess next week sometime. I think they'll be busy sending out Financial Aid stuff tomorrow (good luck to those waiting to hear about this!)Back2California wrote:TakeItToTrial wrote:Are you still UR1? or have you moved to UR2/FR?chandhi wrote:Congratulations to all who got in today - I am quite envious of you all!

Was in the FR group and literally JUST got the email informing me I've been waitlisted, which is actually not bad considering my GPA is sub-3.5 and Berkeley is known to be more focused on GPA than LSAT for admissions.

I have no idea, but I'd guess that maybe the FR admit wave conveniently being the day before the scholly offer wave means that we'd be included? Maybe that's just wishful thinking.calpolisci2016 wrote:Anyone know if the recent fr admit wave will be part of this too or are we waiting until later?nimbus2020 wrote:You've significantly reduced my anxiety.
