It's taking forever for me to go complete. I wonder if Stanford received my app and was just like "lol no."

Don't worry, the same thing happened to me. Went complete weeeks after my application was complete, but it did. And I'm certainly not getting in!Rigo wrote:It's taking forever for me to go complete. I wonder if Stanford received my app and was just like "lol no."

ADMISSIONS SPREADSHEETS ARE HERE!
Hi everyone! I created an admissions spreadsheet for this cycle found at the link below:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
It may not be as useful because Stanford is such a black box but it may help some people in the future. Feel free to fill in your numbers and as much information as you want about yourselves. Please PM me with any concerns or bugs that you find (updated from another school so bound to be some). Will be making some for the rest of the T14 soon.
Please do not sort the information. If you would like to, download a copy.

Hey all. Submitted 12/28, received an email 1/4 saying all materials received and to expect a status checker email, then total radio silence. I'm assuming I should just keep waiting patiently for the email with status checker credentials??

I'm in the same boat. Just waiting away for a waitlist offer if I'm lucky.mtf612 wrote:Hey all. Try selecting the forgot password option and entering your info. It will be emailed to you. Your username is the same as other status checkers.mtf612 wrote:Hey all. Yeah I realized this after I applied and feel like I fucked myself over for next year.jdanz wrote:wowow didn't know stanford required a new LOR for re-applicants... fml. I applied months ago and just realized I was still incomplete
So much for reapplying if I get a reject-now I'm all in!
I suppose I could always track down another letter but it would be thoroughly generic.

Re: Stanford C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017 Cycle)
just recently did this, and when I finally logged on to the status checker there was no current status date, the message on the top in red said "The Stanford Law Office of Admissions has received your JD application. Please allow one to two weeks to process your application. After your application has been processed, you will receive instructions via email on how to confirm your applicant status online. " and none of the requirements list had checks next to them except the application fee. I'm wondering if everyone else who used this hack when they logged in if everything was checked and complete, and if I need to email admissions or if I should just wait considering they hadn't emailed me that my file was complete anyways.sonyco wrote:Try selecting the forgot password option and entering your info. This was what mine was like before I got the email today. Looks like someone on LSN got into Stanford a few minutes ago

It seems like some people with definitely "in range" numbers on LSN have already been rejected from Stanford. Any ideas why? Or why wouldn't they waitlist them? (I ask because I have very similar numbers and just got a "Decision Letter Sent," so I'm sure I'm getting a rejection.

Fair enough. I guess I can pray for a waitlist so that I can try to send a LOCI and a Stanford-specific rec.katthegreat11 wrote:Cause Stanford is a black box.VA2lawschool wrote:It seems like some people with definitely "in range" numbers on LSN have already been rejected from Stanford. I felt that way at first then I realized it looks like they're going chronologically (at least it seemed the first few rejections were September apps). I was a November app, so presumably my day of reckoning is not far off.kiwi50 wrote:I'm surprised people have already been rejected from Stanford. Like snail mail? Seems rather harsh way of finding out :/TwoTwo1B wrote:September submit here, got rejection letter in the mail earlier this week.unrelated wrote:September submit here, haven't heard anything yet.lawlzschool wrote:I felt that way at first then I realized it looks like they're going chronologically (at least it seemed the first few rejections were September apps). Yup, snail mail. The standard "Oh look, it's a little thin envelope, must be a rejection" thing from all the movies.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Like snail mail? It was a reach school for me, so I'm not upset about it - hopefully some other folks on here get the "big thick admissions packet" in the mail soon!

That's shitty man. Also a September applicant with no chance, so I'll be wary of my mailbox now lol. Good luck on the rest of your cycle!TwoTwo1B wrote:Yup, snail mail.
