Is Chicago more generous with need aid than other schools? My parents are middle class and own a home and I've been denied for need everywhere else so farsadie2law wrote:If you're under 29 you have to fill out the parent info. (Which was a huge pain because it's the only school I had that required it.)chargers21 wrote:So I read somewhere that Chicago requires parental info on the FAFSA in order to be considered for need aid. Is that true?

I interviewed for the Doctoroff program and have heard nothing so far. But I was a March 1 admit, so it's still early.CPA-->JD wrote:Anyone who interviewed for the Doctoroff program get any scholly info?

Random and I don't know if this question has been asked, but has anyone tried submitting a Why Chicago after going complete before a decision? Having major regret for not including one in my application, since I'm from Chicago, want to stay here, and will maybe literally beg. Or is this a terrible, terrible idea?

Ugh... I'm like low key hopeful now that they've admitted a few wl'd people, and I really am obsessed with the Young center.
Cranked out a 2pg Why chicago last night (single spaced, because I am crazy) and just.... UGH PLZ ACCEPT ME

Was just considering doing this literally like an hour ago haha but if you go on their FAQs they say do not add more info unless necessary while you're still awaiting a decision so I wouldn't, unless it's like compelling info. Good luck!whateverwhatever wrote:Random and I don't know if this question has been asked, but has anyone tried submitting a Why Chicago after going complete before a decision? Feb admit with scholly. I was told the Doctoroff people would hear this week if they got into the program. Guess I'm out for the doctoroff full ride (not that I had a good chance anyway)

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I was about to, but had not yet. Hence the heightened surprise. I did have a small why chicago, like 4 sentences max, probably less, at the end of my PS though. Plus I had already interviewed and strongly emphasized why Chicago during it so maybe those things had an effectlula43 wrote:Did you write the 2 page Why Chicago?chargers21 wrote:HOLY COW!!!! Admitted last night off of the waitlist! Now wondering about scholarships. Anyone know if they ever give $ for waitlist admits?

Sybill thought she'd withdraw, too. ......but she stayed, because money prospects where she's been accepted are no bueno.TudoBem wrote:I thought you withdrew from UChicago WL Sybill?SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Congratulations!
