So I read somewhere that Chicago requires parental info on the FAFSA in order to be considered for need aid. Is that true?

If you're under 29 you have to fill out the parent info. (Which was a huge pain because it's the only school I had that required it.)

Is Chicago more generous with need aid than other schools? My parents are middle class and own a home and I've been denied for need everywhere else so far

Random and I don't know if this question has been asked, but has anyone tried submitting a Why Chicago after going complete before a decision? Having major regret for not including one in my application, since I'm from Chicago, want to stay here, and will maybe literally beg. Or is this a terrible, terrible idea?

Was just considering doing this literally like an hour ago haha but if you go on their FAQs they say do not add more info unless necessary while you're still awaiting a decision so I wouldn't, unless it's like compelling info. Good luck!

I was about to, but had not yet. Hence the heightened surprise. I did have a small why chicago, like 4 sentences max, probably less, at the end of my PS though. Plus I had already interviewed and strongly emphasized why Chicago during it so maybe those things had an effect
