Anyone who was admitted ED last week get their acceptance packets in the mail? Think ED might have something to do with the delay. In NYC and haven't received anything.

Originally in thru website on Wed, phone call and e-mail Thurs, and received letter today. Nice purple envelope, form letter of admittance, and a post-it referencing an optional essay I wrote.

So approximately how long between when you submitted and when you received a decision? Also, what were your stats if you don't mind sharing?Nickel94 wrote:Originally in thru website on Wed, phone call and e-mail Thurs, and received letter today. I got somewhat of an email today on it.zeglo wrote:Does scholarship information always come later (lumped into the "Financial Aid" stuff in January)? I haven't heard anything yet on this.
Members of the Law School will be in touch to welcome you and share their insights.
Student Financial Services will email you in January with instructions about applying for financial aid. You should complete your paperwork as soon as possible to be considered for need- and/or merit-based aid.
The housing application will be available in early February.
If you applied for a specific programmatic scholarship, each program has their own application and notification process, and the scholarship committee(s) will contact you by late March.
You will receive an invitation to Admitted Students Days on March 2-3, March 30-31, and April 20-21, where you can experience NYU Law's campus and offerings. We hope you will be able to join us, but if you cannot, we are happy to arrange an individual visit to campus.

That is at least what I understood it to mean.zeglo wrote:Thanks. I got that, too. I assume financial aid could mean either scholarship or loan?TAD wrote:I got somewhat of an email today on it.zeglo wrote:Does scholarship information always come later (lumped into the "Financial Aid" stuff in January)? "Merit based aid" is often a synonym for scholarship, so that's a safe assumption.zeglo wrote:Thanks. I got that, too. Is the status check link on the admissions website broken for anyone else? I haven't been able to get in.

Same. I checked it earlier and it was working. Maybe there's heavy traffic on the site or something...shoparoundthecorner wrote:Doesn't seem to be working for me either.
