Why haven't you withdrawn T7 on down?
I did for a few, I'll do the rest this week
Ah okay. I was just trying to think of any legit reason why you wouldn't.

Waiting on 2: S and Y.
No doubt I'll be waiting a while longer.

I'm still waiting to hear back from like all of the T14 from Columbia/Chicago down except for Duke who PR'd me forever ago. Been nearly a month since my Cornell interview and still nothing... which is particularly bothering me. I want to attend Cornell so badly, but feel like they're going to YP WL me or that I won't fit in with their new GPA-focused behavior or something.
And I don't know what's going on with the other schools. I know I'm a bit of a splitter and I know applying in early January is a bit late, but other people who applied around the same time or later than me have been getting in and I've still got complete silence with an LSAT score that's at or above the 75th percentile for everyone except the T5. Not even an interview request from UVA or anyone but Cornell yet. For all the logical reasoning skills that needed to be perfected for the LSAT and a legal career, this process brings out such illogical neuroticism and somewhat unpredictable outcomes.

Honestly, law school admissions are the most predictable out of all application processes. College apps are incredibly subjective/luck-based and my understanding is that med/business apps are pretty similar in that respect. Everything will shake out well in the end.

Waiting on the whole T14 other than two admits and one hold. In at a few t20. I applied later than I should have I suppose. The wait is definitely comparable to that of sitting patiently for gray day to arrive.

I certainly hope so, but this cycle's been fairly chock full of surprising waitlists from what I gather on TLS (and my own results). And... I got WL'd at a "safety" that MyLSN said I had 100% chance at. I was so excited when I got my LSAT score, but now I really wonder... safety WL and Duke PR with my stats are troubling.

After flood storms wipe out Stanford, it falls out of the rankings and UT enters the T14.

Can someone please link me to a comprehensive post that explains all the financial aid/merit scholarship info?
I went to a really cheap undergrad institution and never had to take out loans, so I'm unfamilair with FAFSA, CSS, etc. I'd like to begin working on all this stuff and so any information you can link me to/provide would be really helpful.
Also, if my parents are upper middle class, is it possible to qualify for need-based aid or am I just wasting my time?
On a totally unrelated note, any college basketball fans here? Really pumped for the tournament.

Also waiting on UVA. Complete 9/21. No interview. Although I just heard back from NYU after silence since 9/16, so I guess these things just take time.
Wow, that's an insane wait. Give you a lot of credit, I'd be so pissed.

I'm hoping my choice schools fall slightly in the rankings and all the other quality applicants PANIC and withdraw and then the schools will be desperate to keep me and give me full rides.

If one school overtakes another will it effect anyone here's choice?

Where do people stand on sending a LOCI to a top-choice prior to any admissions decision? I've been UR at S since 11/30 and I'm thinking of sending them another LoR and a letter stating my specific reasons for wanting SLS. Also I'm considering including a statement to the effect of, "I've been offered admission at the other schools to which I have applied, but Stanford remains my top choice."
Thoughts?

All the people that I know who have sent one in have received rejections back. That's all I know from people who have sent them in the 2020 thread this year.

I still can't believe I got into CLS. Like I know with my numbers it was likely I would get in, but how late in the cycle I was accepted and how much I lost hope... I just keep checking the e-mail every morning I wake up. Especially considering it was my dream school
They can't like unaccept me, right? "Sry it was a mistake"
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
