so much of this thread is being redacted

i urge yall to take a minute and search through your posts to see if you should dequote anyone else here

Unless you have something really specific and memorable about you, I feel like this is pretty unlikely. however, in general you should be relatively anonymous on the internet and not give out details because there are some weird people out there.
at the end of the day tho, I agree with this

Do y'all know if law school decisions/timelines keep moving over the weekend?

Admissions departments don't work over the weekend, so I'd assume not.

It depends on the school. Yale has been known to give out decisions at weird hours and sometimes on the weekend. Pretty sure Duke has also given decisions on the weekend. But usually the offices are closed.

I got the call from the dean admitting me to ASU on a Saturday afternoon. I gotta think that was an odd ball, though.

General Q:

As a K-JD with meh softs, what're my odds at Harvard? LSAT between median and 75th, GPA above 75th.

LSAC gives between 88%-98%. If you want to play it safe and subtract 3% to account for meh softs and K-JD status, 85%-95%. Regardless, damn good.

I think you have a great shot of getting in with your numbers, very well written PS, and from what I remember, not too bad softs.

5 years from now *is working same biglaw job he would have from CCN with full ride but 350k debt instead of 100k
yeah, this is the most likely case. take S or Y over H anyway. not sure why you're putting H over those schools (I'm assuming everything is easier at S which might no be the case, but they do have 180 instead of 600 students).

i think most people (in the wake of 2012 employment) would take Columbia with a Hamilton than HYS with loans.

re: FedGov, even UVA puts nearly as many people in clerkships and more in govt. than HYS.

sticker at Harvard any school just feels like a scam to me
+$250k is an insane amount of money

Harry Potter & Cho Chang (asian/pacific islander girlfriend lol)

Pretty low effort year for us, used graduation gowns as our cloaks.

I'm a cat. I made my own costume. My boss isn't too impressed, but she's a team player.

Writing Why essays for Duke, Penn, Mich, and UVA. Duke and Penn were easy and are finished. Mich and UVA are harder. Weird because when I started out I would have told you UVA>Mich>Duke>Penn, but the more I look the more I'm thinking like Penn>Duke>UVA>Mich....I'm going to have to take so much time off work to go visit all these places (If I get in!). I have no idea where my head is at. Maybe even more than just for the money, NU ED would be nice so I can stop thinking about this! Not getting it would be nice so I can go visit a bunch of schools. Yeah, I'm definitely going crazy rn.
