Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
One more quick question:
When schools ask if your college/university education has been interrupted more than one term, does that include non-degree seeking classes?
I took two courses at cc in highschool, but then didn't take classes again until I started at university as a traditional student. Do those three years count as interruption?

That's "down in the weeds" enough I doubt anyone knows for sure and the answer might vary from adcomm to adcomm. If it were me, I'd play it safe and answer yes and write a brief, three-sentence explanation (like the one you did for this thread) explaining the program and purpose of the CC classes. Not a single adcomm will look negatively on this.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:One more quick question:

Would I have to go order my driver's record to remember when I got two speeding tickets? One of the schools I'm applying to says they want to know this information, but I didn't know how serious or how stickler they were about it.

Just submitted my first app and noticed my first typo \m/
How small is too small(/ is there a too small) for a follow up email? I edited a disclosure wrong and ended up with "I received have received"
Also this went to Duke which has embedded disclosures, If send a follow up email do I just attach a new pdf like it's an addendum?

If i was an admissions officer and I saw someone make a typo in like that and on that document, id prob be like ehh whatever, everyone makes mistakes, and not think much of it.
If i was in that same sitution and saw that the applicant immediately reached back out to correct it, id wonder why the hell they thought it was okay to submit the app and THEN proofread, and move onto the next application.
I think you should just let it be. The damage was done

Yeah that's my thinking. It's just upsetting because I did proofread it like 3 times after everything was ready (each piece was also proofread more times then I could count)patttt wrote:Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Just submitted my first app and noticed my first typo \m/

I made a last minute adjustment to the wording and figured since it was such a small change I couldn't have fucked that part up.

Checking in super-late.
So much time left until applications are due - my coping mech. is to research every possible way to save money, how much money it will save, and whether the stress/cost ratio is worth it.

My rule of thumb is always to wait a day and then read out loud. Then, after submitting, I never look at the application again unless I have an interview and need to brush up on my answers.patttt wrote:damn, sorry to hear that. good luck on your cycle anyway - and no more typos! hahaDr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Yeah that's my thinking. Guys imma be real with you, I have no idea what TCR stands for.
I clearly got it right considering everything I've done has been in tnr 11, but can someone define that acronym for me?

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
Hey guys, what do you think is the ideal length for a letter of recommendation?
I'm guessing all of us waived our rights to read them (if we were good children!) so no one can answer for sure, but the undergrad professor I asked hasn't written one for law schools before. She was asking me for a few housekeeping details: length, spacing etc.
