So I got a 149, one question short of a 150. Sigh... What are the odds a person with 149 LSAT will pass the bar, or finish law school for that matter? I got a 20,000 dollar scholarship from widener. Do you suppose I should see if I get a full ride for free? I can't take this test again. I'm 26 and getting old fast.

You will "pass" law school if you don't take a dump on your exam. The bar is another issue. There is a correlation between LSAT score and bar passage, however. Who knows. Just don't go to Widener. Retake the LSAT or run away from law school–fast!

Common wisdom here is that you should not go to a law school with the intent to transfer out, as there are simply too many things that can go wrong. If the notion of graduating from the school you start at is not acceptable to you, then you should not go there.

I was 42 when I started 1L. Law school is not going anywhere, there is no need to rush to put yourself in a position you will regret.

I'll be 30 when I start LS in Fall '17. I could go to Akron for nearly a full-ride, Cincinatti for a 1/2 ship, UTK, or Villanova this fall but know that retaking once more and applying early next cycle will yield better results and more $$$. Thanks to this, albeit sometimes rough, crowd for that. (Feb lsat was a 153, my June retake was a 158 and has made a world of difference, sooo worth the extra effort... I'm still retaking once more though).

Retake, for your own best interest, and dont pay money to go to these schools (and any school that gives a 149 LSAT a full-ride is a no-go...). Graduating with less debt and better employment prospects is worth taking another year off. 26 is NOT "old," man.

I personally know several people who scored 149 and in the low-150's who passed the bar. Comparing the LSAT and the bar is like comparing tennis with golf. The LSAT is a logic exam. The bar is a black letter law exam.

Typically 145 has been the threshold that many universities feel should not be crossed in accepting students. It has been referred to as the point at which a student may struggle to pass the bar. Schools are crossing that line and you see schools like Cooley and Florida Coastal have such low bar passage rates.
