University of Washington Waitlist Class of 2019

Post by pstatementhell » Sun May 08, 2016 12:00 pm

Has anyone heard anything about the WL besides the email sent out end of April asking if you still wanted to be on the WL? Anyone been accepted off the WL at any point at all? Thanks for any input.

I'm curious as to how people interpreted the description stating, "if the waitlist has cleared." What does a cleared waitlist in mid June entail?

It almost sounds like they have cleared applicants off...or it has been cleared by applicants withdrawing?

They probably intended it to mean that they have extended offers for all of the remaining available spots to waitlist applicants.

It doesnt really make sense that they would "clear" the waitlist and still have applicants that needed to be informed as to the status of their application (seeing as if they clear the waitlist, then all applicants would have received a decision and there would be no remaining applicants on the waitlist).

When is the second deposit deadline?

I couldn't wait anymore and emailed someone at UW, and they emailed back saying that they are just now starting to consider how many slots open they have to offer to waitlisted applcants. I know it is vague, but they said they would start offering the slots to the us waitlisted folk "ASAP".

I appreciate you asking. Makes me feel better about the timing of my letter of continued interest. Now onto the other questions that will burn a hole in my head... How many spots do they have left to fill? How many people are on the waitlist? I kind of feel like every day is just waiting on them for the rest of my life to continue.

Lol I wish we could figure out the answers to those questions.. I feel the same way. I got that email yesterday btw! So hopefully the ball gets rolling here really soon. I took the Feb LSAT which sucks cuz maybe I would have gotten in if I applied sooner. Oh well. Where is everyone applying from?
