Columbia's enrollment decision deadline was yesterday. Hopefully they fell short of 365.

Neat, here's hoping. From the looks of last year's thread, we have a few weeks on our hands before interview requests go out.

Has anyone visited campus or sat in on a class since being placed on Reserve?

Yes, and it was depressing.

Yes, but I don't think it really mattered too much to admissions? It was mostly for my own interest and last chance to potentially do so.

Yes I visited and was treated pretty poorly, though I did get someone in admissions to answer some of my questions about the school.

I assume you're asking dizzystpizzy, but they seemed really nice and helpful, just overwhelmed when I stopped by recently. Not sure what her/his experience was like, though.

The student receptionist was really nice checking me in, but everyone else was extremely rude. When I asked to speak with someone from admissions to answer my questions, the admissions folks acted as if I were there to waste their time. This was a Friday early afternoon after most decisions had been sent, so there was not as much happening as in previous weeks and I was the only member of the public to enter the office for my entire visit.

Nor did I frame it as a "I'm on reserve and want to suck up" visit. I legitimately had questions about CLS and wanted to have them answered. The attitude and tone they had in responding to me in setting up my visit and in answering my questions was so unprofessional. I work in PR and if someone from my org acted the same way to a member of the public or potential client I'd yell at them.

I visited and sat in on a class. I had a great experience everyone I dealt with was very helpful and the class was awesome. The visit totally built up the Columbia hype for me.

Checking in. Predictions about when we can expect to hear back?

The previous years' threads vary from beginning of May- mid June.

Have they started accepting people off of the "held" group yet?

Cool! Did you receive an active consideration email (pretty sure they sent those out last year)?

I wonder if my lack of any sort of internet presence will blow back on me... Might need to create a few profiles

Not to squash your optimism, but if "prospect research analyst" at CLS is anything like I know it to be elsewhere in higher education and non-profits, this was someone from their development team doing research related to fundraising or in their spare time (potentially another TLSer). Fingers crossed for you that it's someone who transitioned to admissions, but didn't update their profile, though!

Hey everyone,

After I was placed on reserve, I had sent a LOCI outlining why I specifically want to study in Columbia. Now, there has been some updates regarding my academic standing and awards that I want to communicate to the law school. Should I write another LOCI- or use the tool on their website- or write something like an application update?

Haha yes also I withdrew from the WL last week. Just a coincidence but thought it was funny enough to share.

Any thoughts on some sort of movement this week?

I'm guessing that most of the movement will come after June 1st, after the seat deposits

Thank you! I've been constantly checking LSN to see if there's been any movement at all.
Did they happen to tell you when to expect to hear back/ give you any hints? Haha

I called later to try and get a more firm response and she said that decisions on applications should start going out in June, but that is to be expected haha
