When would be the best time (now or Feb)? I already have offers from Chapman, Pepperdine, Loyola, and USD to send copies of their letters to UCI. Has anyone called the office for logistics?

I would try it, but you might not get far. None of the schools listed are comparable. I still hope you get more money though.yunjh2725 wrote:Any scholarship negotiation happening yet?

I apologize for the ignorance, but how has UCI's employment stats in recent years (more specifically, in LA) compared to Davis? Got in a couple weeks ago with generous scholarship, and am trying to analyze the potential UCI v. Davis decision. Also have heard incredible things about Orange County.

If you google UCI Law employment statistics and the same for Davis, you will find the information you need.
I looked at it just now and for the class of '14 ('15 won't come out for another couple of months), Davis had more people still seeking employment than Irvine. But look at the breakdowns because the specifics will tell you more than I can through this reply.
UCI places people well in OC and LA. There are also alumni in NY and a handful scattered all over the country (partially because of clerkships, but there are some like me who just decided to go work somewhere else).
I can't speak of where Davis places people. I wouldn't have picked Davis over Irvine but that's a personal choice.
Good luck.

Been a lurker here for a while, but I got my acceptance email today and I'm super excited so I thought I'd share!
Irvine is one of my top two choices. Really impressed with the turnaround - submitted 1/31, complete 2/1.
75th LSAT, GPA between 25th and 50th if anyone is curious.

Also, anyone know if Irvine gives travel stipends to defray some of the cost? Currently in the Southeast!

As someone coming from the Southeast as well, I can not make the ASW but scheduled a visit, you only get $250 if you are visiting on a non-ASW event.lawyergirl94 wrote:Also, anyone know if Irvine gives travel stipends to defray some of the cost? Currently in the Southeast!

I doubt it... I've gotten into some T14 schools with money. If UCI gives me a close to a full-ride, I'll consider, but only if I'm 100% sure I want to stay in SoCalzot1 wrote:And you're going to UCI, right?lawyergirl94 wrote:YepCaligal611 wrote:Your profile states that you highest LSAT is a 155 and you have been accepted to multiple law schools so far, right?lawyergirl94 wrote:Accepted today! I have to ask. How did you get into T14 with a 155?lawyergirl94 wrote:I doubt it... I've gotten into some T14 schools with money. URM, great recs, good experience (internships), great GPA, completed 'Why X' whenever given the chance, and I maintained general contact with a person from admissions office to show interest before I even applied.LShopeful2016 wrote:I have to ask. Speaking of scholarship, does anyone know when we should start negotiating? The scholly accept deadline is just a month away..forlornhope wrote:In via email on 2/8, though I don't know if I will be attending. They'll have to offer pretty good scholarship to make the move to CA worth it. UCI is tied for #2 among my choices. Waiting for the mail, now.
Lawyergirl94... can I have some of your URM if you're not using it? I've only got non-trad going for me, so I didn't even bother wasting money on T14s, haha.

Has anybody received good news in a scholly negotiation with them? I was given a non-optimistic late-February quote on timeline, but if people are already receiving good news then I'm going to start contacting them again.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
