I think it's ridiculous too it's so inconsiderate that if Davis is our top choice we just wasted so much money on a seat deposit today. I spent $800 on my seat deposit at another school ($500 for seat deposit and $300 for housing waitlist deposit) and that's because I haven't heard back from Davis and I will have wasted that $800 now if I get in because of how long they are respondinglawschool0070 wrote:ok seriously what the f***. I applied the first week of january and haven't heard a peep from Davis except for the 10 emails to apply for financial aid a month ago. What is going on, today was the first seat deposit deadline for those admitted and I haven't even gotten a decision!?

In via email!!!!
Was on Friday, but just checked my mail now (was on holiday). Holy Crap - what a surprise!
Applied early September, thought I had a Zero chance to get in seeing as they took soooo SOOOOOO long. Wish I knew what they were thinking. Never the less am very, very happy.
Looks like I'll be paying sticker though, so that is probably the biggest thing for me to think about. With a 162/3.52 from Berkeley, I can get an almost Full Ride at a T2 school, but with obviously shoddy employment prospects compares to Davis. Hmmm...
Very Happy though, do love Davis as a city and very much wanted a small and supportive class size.

Congratulations Xnegd! I am still waiting for a decision, but applied late in the cycle. I think they are notifying people of scholarship amounts 7-10 days later, so I would not count yourself out. Also, COL there is great.

I doubt you will pay sticker, especially if you have need, but either way your stats merit, merit hehe . Congratulations!

Called yesterday and was told they hope to get all decisions out by the first week of May. I applied in December and still haven't heard.lawschool0070 wrote:Ok honestly whens the latest we should be hearing back for a primary decision, first seat deposit was last Friday? The first week of May!? Thats after literally every single schools seat deposit deadline, and after some schools housing deposit deadlines. Plus I've gotten decisions from schools who probably receive 3x more applications than Davis. This is so inconsiderate.lordmac69 wrote:Called yesterday and was told they hope to get all decisions out by the first week of May. Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
I'm guessing those of us still waiting for a decision don't have the stats for either an auto-admit or auto-reject (I definitely don't) and have had our decisions held until after the first seat deposit deadline. I have been really frustrated by their admissions process, so much so that I emailed them a few weeks ago asking politely how much longer I'd have to wait. I was also told they "hope" to have decisions out by early May. I've already put in a deposit at another school, which isn't ideal, but ultimately I am happy to still be in the running at UC Davis. I think the fact that I haven't been rejected yet while people continue to withdraw only helps my chances of getting in.
Oh and Davis isn't even the only school I'm still waiting on....
Hang in there everyone, it'll all be over soon.

I agree with this and consider it very hopeful, however I just made a seat deposit at another school. Even if I hear from Davis by Friday, I will need time to consider all options.I'm guessing those of us still waiting for a decision don't have the stats for either an auto-admit or auto-reject

In via email!
"Financial aid notifications will be sent separately and come directly from the Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid, Kristen Mercado, typically within 2-3 business days."
Guess I'll wait and see
Hopefully I get some $ or else I can't attend

Is anyone on the WL going to visit the campus? I emailed about visiting in early May and they were nice enough to coordinate something for me despite exam season. I'm hoping to leverage admission since I'm flying in for the day...

Accepted April 20th after being complete 2/04. Scholarship packet came in the day after. Pleased with the offer, but not sure if UC Davis is for me.
Has anyone been to ASW/ASD? How was it overall? Opinions on the faculty, students, admitted students, etc would be appreciated!

I went to the ASW on Saturday (although I ended up leaving a little early)! I liked the faculty that I got to meet, and the building was nice.nonamer wrote:Accepted April 20th after being complete 2/04. Scholarship packet came in the day after. Some things I didn't like were the technical difficulties for the students who couldn't fit into the room where the main presentations took place. They were kind enough to restream the presentation in an adjacent room for us but the feed would get an error every 10 minutes or so leaving us staring at a blue screen/error message most of the time until someone from admissions checked in on us.
Also as soon as Dean Johnson finished his presentation he left the main room and just kinda passed by a group of 8 or so admitted students who had to watch him via a feed from a television on the wall. Would've been nice if he at least said hi to us! An hour or so later I decided to break off from the scheduled activities with a couple other students and go exploring. We ended up in what I guess was the faculty hall and there was the unmistakable smell of cigar smoke coming from the Dean's office
