I think you nailed it. Got the email this morning letting me know I didn't get the PI Scholarship but, hey, here's your merit aid award.RacheterRaptor wrote:That's what I've been thinking, but then I don't know why they wouldn't email with that info. When did you submit/go complete? I haven't heard anything but submitted early nov, not sure if there is still hope or not. Also anyone here that didn't get PI but heard about other merit by now, please post your complete date if you can! Thanksohialehua4444 wrote:RacheterRaptor wrote:That's what I've been thinking, but then I don't know why they wouldn't email with that info. I contacted them after others posted here regarding having been awarded the PI Scholarship to see when they would be sending out other merit offers. The response I got was " We have not been able to review your file because you applied for the Public Interest Scholarship and those decisions are in the process of being made now."
So it seems that possibly some but not all offers for PI have gone out. Either way, I am pretty sure we should hear soon about possible non-PI merit scholarships.

I asked financial aid about this and they said they were starting to review the applications and would let us know mid-late March.hd1012 wrote:Does anyone know when we find out about need based scholarships?

Just looked at my checker and there are no dates at all on it.. I'm not sure if it ever showed a complete date--I'm just basing my date on when I received my "app complete" email. Who knows what is going on...

Re: Boston University C/O 2019 (2015-2016) Applicants
Just tried to leverage with them, and although the admissions counselor was exceedingly encouraging and nice in her email cc'ing the financial aid office, the financial aid office emailed me (the same day) saying:
Thank you for your interest in Boston University School of Law. I do understand that financial considerations are important when choosing a law school.
I strongly recommend that any student interested in receiving additional scholarship aid apply for the need-based scholarship that we offer - http://www.bu.edu/law/admissions/financ ... olarships/.
I will add the scholarship letters that you provided to your file. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions that you may have.
I'm not sure how to take this but it doesn't sound very promising. Does anyone else have experience doing this with BU yet?

I talked about this with a BU fin aid representative and right now she said that BU isn't in the stage of reconsidering scholarships yet. They are still in the process of awarding a good amount of scholarships to admitted students (I am still waiting for mine). Maybe hold off for a few more weeks and then ask them again when they have a better idea of how many scholarships will be accepteddizzylizzy wrote:Just tried to leverage with them, and although the admissions counselor was exceedingly encouraging and nice in her email cc'ing the financial aid office, the financial aid office emailed me (the same day) saying:

I applied on 1/15 and I am still waiting on a decision. I don't check their status checker anymore because it's pretty much useless, but I do know that it never showed a complete date for me, so I don't think it being missing is indicative of anything.
