Been complete since December, status finally changed to "Decision Mailed" today. Checked FedEx for a package coming from Nashville and they had nothing so I freaked. Emailed the admissions and they said I should get an email later today. A few minutes later I got the acceptance email! Woo hoo!

I was accepted last Monday via email. I had applied in September so I had given up hope that I was getting in!

Waitlisted. A little surprised to be honest. Decided to withdraw instead of riding it out on the waitlist.

Dinged. Bummed, but not surprised.

Same, it would have taken a significant scholarship to lure me away from UVA at this point.BirdLawExpert wrote:Sorry to hear that, manthelincolnlawyer wrote:+1. I'm a splitter from an undergrad institution that hasn't had many grads go onto law school, only around 100 ever. Graduates cannot even go straight to law school from the Air Force Academy (or couldn't when I graduated) and therefore nobody even is thinking about law school really. Because of this, I didn't know what to expect when applying. However, Dean Faulk at UVA specifically told me they hold service academy GPAs in higher standing than most since they know massive grade deflation is practiced (median GPA for my graduating class was around a 2.8.) This played a big role in my acceptance to UVA I think.cecrum wrote:How does one get into UVA and not Vandy? In the meantime my status checker still just says complete. I just want to know so I can make plans or move on.

It would seem really weird to get into GULC but not Vandy. Hopefully they're just playing a cruel joke and will get you that black box soonBirdLawExpert wrote:In the meantime my status checker still just says complete. I just want to know so I can make plans or move on.

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned since we seemingly have at least superficially similar reasons for poor grades (went for pilot slot in ROTC, they don't really give any fucks about grades so I spent 30+ hours a week working for the detachment). I'm optimistic, but we'll see.AF_Falcon wrote:Happened to me and Lincoln lawyer above.squirtlesquad14 wrote:It would seem really weird to get into GULC but not Vandy. I'm happy for you but this is just getting to the point of being absurd for those of us that have been complete for over three months.SomeElleWoodsJoke wrote:In with no interview (applied past deadline).

At this point I can only assume they are discriminating against fans of It's Always Sunny.BirdLawExpert wrote:I'm happy for you but this is just getting to the point of being absurd for those of us that have been complete for over three months.SomeElleWoodsJoke wrote:In with no interview (applied past deadline).
