Complete early January, just got wait listed. Kinda happy, I've withdrawn from all other schools and am pretty set on another school. But if something crazy happens and they offer a nice/decent scholarship I would definitely consider! So I'll be riding it out!

If you got waitlisted with your numbers, and I'm slightly below your numbers (checked your comment history ), how has Vandy not dinged me yet?? Complete early January as well.PatriotP74 wrote:Complete early January, just got wait listed. Kinda happy, I've withdrawn from all other schools and am pretty set on another school. FINALLY wait-listed. Obviously would have preferred an acceptance but that almost 5 month wait time with complete silence from their end...bleh. I was just glad to hear something.

Does anyone know at what point one should make their Vanderbilt User Account after being admitted? Im currently waitlisted at another school, but I don't want to make my student account for Vandy as yet because im not sure if im attending (financial reasons). However, I dont want to wait too long and miss out on housing, dining plan, etc deadlines. Always appreciate the advice guys!

Withdrawing with some pretty nice $$$. I really like Vandy and Nashville so it's a little sad but I really hope it frees up a spot and/or some scholarship money for somebody here!

Re: Vanderbilt University Law School c/o 2019 (2015-2016) Applicants
I applied to Vandy hoping to do the joint JD/MPP in Education program with Peabody*, but it's been so long that I had to turn down Peabody since I had no guarantee at VLS. Regardless of what happens, I won't be able to attend VLS next year because I had to commit to an ed school two weeks ago; thus, this wait has me a bit upset since it means I had to turn down Peabody without knowing if I could have gotten into the joint degree program.
I feel bad because I am sure the admissions office is probably working frantically and is likely understaffed, but I just wish I knew...
*FYI: Peabody is Vandy's ed school and it is AMAZING--probably the best in the country!

I don't know for certain, but I think it'll be fine to set up your Acct regardless of your waitlist status at other schools. Vandy asks that you send an "intent to enroll" email to admissions on July 17th, so until they get that, I don't think anything you do will be set in stone (and even then, there will be a few who withdraw after that date).goddard24 wrote:Does anyone know at what point one should make their Vanderbilt User Account after being admitted? If you haven't heard back yet, you should just withdraw. Rip the band-aid off and begin to heal.

They're gonna admit me and be like "sorry, we were waiting for a full tuition scholly to open up for you or we knew we wouldn't be worth it. Here you go, sorry you had to waste money on deposits before that but we gucci now, right fam?"

Well, just looked at my status checker and decision mailed. Really happy that I'll soon be at the end of my cycle, Vandy was the last school I was waiting on!
