Anyone going to ASW on the 3/4? If so, what's the proper attire for daytime events/tours? Casual, within reason? Or should I be in business cas./prof.?

Any chance we'll see a wave of acceptances this week so people can plan for ASW? Or is that unrealistic?

I'd say pretty casual unless otherwise noted. I went to the ASW at Georgetown and most of us were in jeans. The Vandy ASW includes a reception at a law firm, and they explicitly say to bring a suit if you can, so I think that the default is pretty casual in these situations.lawyergirl94 wrote:Anyone going to ASW on the 3/4? All that said, I haven't looked at the schedule in a few weeks and I could be completely wrong. I'll be there this week, too, so if we're both in casual clothes we'll be fine, right?

Yep! lol. I think there's a luncheon one day with faculty. Everything else seems pretty chill.BirdLawExpert wrote:I'd say pretty casual unless otherwise noted. ASW 3 years ago the dress code was business casual, no idea if it's different nowlawyergirl94 wrote:Yep! lol. I think there's a luncheon one day with faculty. Has anyone successfully negotiated additional scholarship money than what they already offered? Any tips?

Has anyone who's going to the ASW gotten a confirmation email or a schedule? I've gotten nothing, and I'm beginning to wonder if I forgot to hit "submit" when registering. I also don't quite remember all the events I've RSVPed for .

The dress code is normally business casual. Embarrassing story: I got in to UT off the waitlist a few years ago two days before ASD. They sent me an email the next day that was like: come to ASD! It did not mention the dress code. I show up in jeans and a sweater. Everyone else in slacks and dresses. Great first impression.

Besides, it's Austin. Jeans and a sweater is Austin biz casual.

Jeans and a sweater in 80-degree weather? I think I'll be taking the opportunity to rock the shorts and polo personally.BVest wrote:Besides, it's Austin. Jeans and a sweater is Austin biz casual.

Congrats! But not surprising with your LSAT score. It seems to be the key with UT this cycle.Bluex12 wrote:Got the call today. OOS 172/3.3. Very surprised and happy! Went complete 12/10
