An additional positive is the effect that these sorts of actions have on the job market for graduates, generally speaking.Navyhornguy wrote:It seems clear at this point that UT really wants to break into the T14. Smaller class size will drive up medians and draw the students with higher numbers because they'll be able to offer more scholarship money. A quick look at LSN shows that LSAT has ruled this cycle. It's unfortunate for those of us on the bubble that were really set on UT this year. I think last year a bunch of us are in.
Good luck to everyone who got rejected.

Complete 1/28, interview request yesterday. OOS splitter.
Sorry if this question was asked before- approximately how long after you've responded to the interview request should you expect to hear from Shannon, and does she schedule the interviews a day or two in advance, or is it much further out? Thanks!

I heard two business days after I emailed her, and she proposed interview times for the following week. I ended up interviewing almost 2 weeks after the request. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions about the interview!daisrt wrote:Complete 1/28, interview request yesterday. OOS splitter.

Anybody else feel like UT just lost their application? I went complete 1/29 and I'm actually in Texas, yet no interview request and no emails whatsoever. Mentally preparing myself for a rejection.

It hasn't even been a month yet. Most of us waited about two months, even when applying early.periwinkley wrote:Anybody else feel like UT just lost their application? Yeah, this isn't unusual. I waited about 3.5 months, and some people are still waiting from late November/early December.Navyhornguy wrote:It hasn't even been a month yet. I live in Austin and heard absolutely nothing after going complete 12/15 until I was accepted 2/6. Having gone to UT for undergrad, the wait was made even worse by the constant unintentional trolling via alumni newsletters and other correspondence from the school, not to mention calls from an Austin number associated with the school only to ask me to start contributing donations to the university

Did any Texas residents get interviews or just OOS?

OOS here. My interview request basically says that it's a chance for OOSers to express their interest in the school. So I would assume no.texasborn10 wrote:Did any Texas residents get interviews or just OOS?

I'm sure the new data from Spivey helps explain things as well, 165+ scores were up majorly.

I wonder why, for example, 167's are up 60+% and 168's are in the negative. Curious as to how that would affect schools like Texas, Vandy, Gtown etc...that consistently have 50-75th #'s in the 166-169 range.

Oh, I forgot to mention when I was admitted last week that I wasn't interviewed and am OOS. Applied sometime in late November or early December IIRC.

Probably there was one or more LSATs in the last cycle that did not have a 168 score.lawschoolletsgo wrote:PatriotP74 wrote:I'm sure the new data from Spivey helps explain things as well, 165+ scores were up majorly.

Re: University of Texas c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Quick question! I'm currently on the waitlist, have a class visit and tour scheduled for tomorrow. Also planning on taking the June LSAT since I think that's what's holding back an acceptance (ED to regular cycle, regular cycle to waitlist). Planning on sending in a LOCI next week recapping these things as well as my major/minor course grades from fall. I saw a few posts back someone e-mailed rather than mailed this info, and it worked out well. If I was to e-mail, would that be to the general admissions, and if mail, to the Dean Keeton address?

Don't snail mail anything, if you need to email something just send it to the general address and it will get where it needs to gobadpoeticjustice wrote:Quick question! I'd delete this post if I were you and still cared about getting in. Can't imagine this would go over well with adcomms who would read this and probably easily identify you.guybourdin wrote:
