Edit: I have a friend who goes there and he said that's how the environment kind of is. Perhaps he meant the professors or staff etc
I visited the school a little earlier in the cycle and I asked several students the same question. William and Mary is a great school and as such there will be some egos to accompany the competitive atmosphere. Lots of "Type A" personalities in every law school. The students I talked to on campus were very friendly. They alluded to the competitive nature of the school, but nothing to the extent of ripping pages out of books or anything. There is a degree of professionalism among students. Everyone at the school wants to succeed, but not at the detriment of other classmates. One student said that it was generally no big deal to get notes from a classmate if you missed a class or two, but don't expect an entire outline or synopsis of a course come finals. Professors and staff were spoken very highly of as well. I got a feel for a very approachable/helpful community as a whole on my visit.

This might be a lame question, but what did people wear to ASW?

No dress code but you can't go wrong with business casual. That way you won't be overdressed or terribly underdressed. In my experience this is how most people choose to dress at ASD

I'm planning on going business casual, I think.

Anybody else going to the "admitted student program" this Friday?

Can we assume that acceptances are over?

Im sure those of us waiting know that the decisions will be sent out by April 1st, thats no secret. My question is, will there be any acceptances sent out during this time or just rejects/WL

If you look at lawschoolnumbers.com every year it seems they release a ton of waitlists/rejections the last week of March

Looking at lawschoolnumbers and previous posters in this thread, virtually every offer of admission so far has included scholarship money. As they presumably don't offer money to everyone, fingers crossed for some more acceptances going out in the next week!!

I was admitted and didn't receive any scholarship info. I suppose I should assume from that that I didn't get any aid?

Not necessarily. The scholarship information usually comes with the acceptance package in the mail, which you should get in a day or two. At least that's what happened for me.

Is anyone still waiting for the decision?
Applied in November, and still no outcome.

Everyone I spoke to was very friendly. There is certainly a collaborative spirit compared to other schools I've visited.
