It's not like I'm a stellar student, but so many people have heard back so quickly.bruceaquizzer1 wrote:Everyone else is getting accepted and here I am just waiting to hear anything. The admissions office has yet to email me back even once as well.Wish I wouldn't have paid the fee waiver or applied here, almost.

The ultimate question is: are you a VA resident or not?
Based on personally quick turnaround with both W&M and UVA (as a state resident), I'm willing to bet this makes a HELLUVA lot of difference, particularly for W&M. It's the difference between an $30k/yr and $40k/yr in tuition for them, after all.

Yeah I am also OOS and heard back in 8 days so I'm not sure how residency factors inthelostweasley wrote:I got my decision in a week and I'm not a state resident, so I don't know if that's really a major factor for turnaround.Tittles wrote:The ultimate question is: are you a VA resident or not?

Out-of-state student here from Kansas...submitted my app on February 11 or so, and was admitted this past Monday! Definitely wasn't expecting it to be this early, as they sent me an email making it pretty clear that they wouldn't even begin reviewing this round of applications until after the March 1st deadline.

I was admitted on monday (went complete 2/1) and received my packet in the mail on wednesday with no scholarship info whatsoever. Does it come separately? My stats are well within W&M's range with good softs and I rather expected a LITTLE something. Has that opportunity passed and am I definitely getting picked over for merit-based aid?

I am just going off of anecdata from lawschoolnumbers, but for the last 3 years (maybe longer, but decided not to check any further), March 18th has seemingly served as an arbitrary cutoff date for acceptances. This does not include people on the waitlist. March 18th is next Friday.WaitWaitDontSay wrote:I second this question.bruceaquizzer1 wrote:From what source??PSPSPSPS wrote:I've heard they are about done with acceptances/money for this cycle fyi

I know several have received acceptance letters, has anyone received an outright rejection or have been waitlisted? I'm assuming they send all those out at one time at the end of the cycle. I went complete 2/9 and haven't heard anything but I'm a splitter.

Heard majority of decisions will be sent out in the last week of March.

This (http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/admissions/graph/) search on MYLSN shows one rejection, with a 151/3.1.MS22 wrote:I know several have received acceptance letters, has anyone received an outright rejection or have been waitlisted? We can know two things from this small sample size of 41:
1. Few rejections. W&M does say that most of their decisions will be released by the first of April, as they do not have a rolling admissions policy.
2. The one rejection we DO see is a pretty obvious one. So we can assume that they've only dinged people who they were confident weren't a good fit.
Note that this makes sense, as the majority of people who have heard back already are - for the most part - people with a plainly clear shot of being accepted. So say that W&M hands our acceptances to top 25%, and rejections to bottom 25%. They still have the middle 50 to decide on.
tldr; be patient and confident until you have a reason not to be.

Has anyone made a campus visit during the weekend? If so, were you able to schedule meetings or tours? I won't be able to make it to ASW, but trying to head up there next Friday.

Did your status ever change?! Mine still shows complete for a while now.
