I was in squad 9, had Metzker's class. Also can we talk about the fact that they called us 'squads'

I definitely enjoy any language that makes me feel more badass. Squad > group. I was in Huang's class. I still feel like odds are good that at some point we were in the same room.....maybe?

True, I was feeling some Tek Jansen vibes (any Colbert fans out there?) I was wearing a pink and white peplum sweater with black pants the second day & gold pants the first day, if that helps any

Hi ladies! I know this was touched on a bit awhile back but what is the consensus on dressing "business casual" for admitted student events? Full suit or skirt/trousers with a blouse? I can reach out to the admissions offices but I figured you all might be more helpful.

Thanks!

Which school are you dressing for? I saw a total mix at the NYU/Columbia events, but they both seemed to favor the casual side of business casual. I think a full suit is unnecessary for the events. I personally wore nice jeans and sweaters with blazers and boots. I definitely saw girls in skirts and blouses and others in blazers, but nothing too formal by any means.

I wore black jeans for the first day and a casual skirt with tights and booties on the second since it was a bit more formal. like jtg said, its pretty mixed but I would say no suit for sure. good luck!!

I was on the (much) more casual end. I wore dark jeans, brown lace-up boots, and a sweater.

I personally thought the people wearing suits stood out way more than people more on the casual side, so I'd advise to err on the side of casual rather than super business-y

Thanks so much for all of the responses! Doing a couple of SoCal school visits then Georgetown/GW and making sure I don't need to buy anything new.

Out of curiosity... who else feels like the repetitive assholery in other sections of TLS is getting old?

I say this as a 6month TLSer who frequents the "choosing a law school" threads, and maybe it's just that I've already had a crappy day, but like...

I guess I'm getting my first taste of loving the law and hating other lawyers?

I know I'm being vague. Blech.

Totally agree. The Senioritis thread is pretty much the only place I go these days.

I'm in, not sure yet if I'll be there in the fall. Can't decide if I'm going to ASW though since I'll have to take time off work. Are you?
