I will have to check that out. I started watching Reckless, but the show is cancelled now =/ I'm getting pretty attached so I keep stopping in between episodes to avoid reaching the end.

Hehe. So have any of you submitted yet?

I'm starting to feel the LOR stress even though I asked for letters to come in by the 11th. So much regret....

I'm getting so antsy now that everyone is obsessively checking statuses and everything. I feel like I need to start avoiding TLS soon for my own sanity ahh.

Yeah, I'm similarly thinking about going cold turkey. My main problem is that work has been slow (right before a holiday weekend, unsurprising) so this has been... entertaining, at least.
I'm very proud of myself for avoiding the school specific threads. :) Too much excitement for me to handle.

In other news, I sent a gentle reminder email to my academic recommender, so hopefully she submits soon.

No submissions yet for me. I have one LOR in and the other is MIA. I'm going to send her a reminder either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm still debating. I'll never leave this site. It gives me life.
Did you ask for the letter by Sept 1?? That is so late. :(

The boys are so beating us in terms of getting apps in/getting accepted places, we really need to change that ASAP.

Is whacka female? I can't remember.

Also to those freaking out about submitting, don't forget that most schools consider before thanksgiving to be early lol I think it's really easy to get wrapped up in the herd mentality of TLS and forget that a lot of applicants prob haven't even written their PSs or even asked for LORs lol
Whacka's a guy.

But, so awesome that you submitted and have an interview!! Can't wait to hear your good news soon

Ah darn would've been cool to have whacka on our team lol he's gonna have a great cycle.
I know Whacka's true identity.

And I'm positive you won't get dinged! I bet you'll hear before the weekend, which will be such a relief for ya.

Good luck kjm! I know you'll rock it. Why is it just the lady TLSers having issues with recommenders hmmmmm?????

And the professor I'm waiting for said she'd have it done by 8/26/15. :( :( :( No as bad as slippin but still.
I think it's because we've been socially conditioned to be less demanding/assertive. :?

Ugh, also brb lighting money on fire, just found out I have a wedding in March. In Mexico.
I've definitely not been very assertive with them. I've been trying to treat them in a very deferential way. I don't like making people mad at me. I think I might try to be more firm with her if 9/15 comes around and she's still MIA.

ETA: Wow, a wedding in Mexico. Is this a close relative/friend? Or can you plead financial hardship?
Close friend, also invited to the bachelorette party which is who knows where. It makes sense, one of them is from Mexico City...
