No mention of merit scholarships though. I noticed on the spreadsheet that no one has filled in scholarship info. Does Berkeley roll theirs out all at once? Or is a different situation.

Thanks in advance!
Congrats!! Sorry I can't answer your scholarship question. When did you go under review and did your status checker change?

Thanks! It went complete on 2/2/16, I can't remember when it went under review, and it doesn't say on the status checker, but I think it might have been that same week or early the week after. I remember being surprised because it seemed quite soon. Status changed to admitted today (2/22/16).

175 LSAT/3.77 GPA from a top 5 undergrad. Also, mixed race female (not black or Mexican though, so I don't know if it counts for URM, am Hispanic though). K-JD as well.
Well that certainly explains it. I foresee a bunch of great offers in your future.

I received an email of confirmation for the matching scholarship program yesterday.

Has anybody submitted an essay along with the Google form? I'm thinking about writing one...

Should I wait for Berkeley's scholarship offer before applying for the matching program, or should I submit documents for matching as soon as I got good offers from peer schools?

You don't have to wait. You can apply as soon as you have an offer that qualifies you.

Been UR1 since 1/7 with 0 movement. At what point do I give up hope? This is a serious question. I feel like I have 0 shot at admission!

According to mylsn, the last acceptances for Berkeley last cycle went out 2/26, which is wayyyyyy earlier than pretty much every other school I am familiar with. However, if that's true, you'll know something very soon one way or the other.

Where on LSN do you find this data? Assuming that's initial admits and not WLs.

It's from mylsn's timeline feature. Green dots higher on the y-axis mean a later decision date. I'm going to look at LSN itself to see what's going on.

Yup, according to LSN itself, there were no WL-->Accepts and it's just straight rejections after 2/26. This is really weird. LSN's sampling issues usually don't cause this dramatic of a discrepancy, if one really does exist.

If that's true I'm officially depressed.

Also, you should know that I've been reading all your posts in Walter Sobchak's voice and it has improved my morning by at least 28%.

I should help people do that by channeling Walter: Dude...duuuuude...you're being very un-dude... and say what you want about the tenants of National Socialism, but at least it's an ethos!!!

So, say what you want about the black box at Berkeley, but at least it has structure and clear communication, unlike that shitstorm at Stanford and Yale!

Thanks for the info! Do you think they will release any decisions today or tomorrow? I know Friday isn't that far away but just wondering if I should refresh obsessively before that.

All I know is they released on the Thursday before the stated Friday date for FR1, so maybe history will repeat itself?

Hi, everyone. It seems that I must formally accept the admission offer before applying for an apartment. Does anyone know whether it is too late to apply for a room on or after June 1? Many thanks and wish you all get admitted!
