No, I called the office and they said they don't send a confirmation email

I'm under review now but as my #1 choice I'd contemplate sticker for Berkeley but the way I expect my last 6 applications to shake out I'm getting concerned. I'm median LSAT <25%GPA, above average softs. I read the "Berkeley's Ideal Candidate" on the school page and thought I really fit the bill in that aspect so hopefully the holistic view helps me out.
You don't have to go under FR to be accepted. In fact, your odds of being accepted from FR aren't great. When did you go complete?
I'm still in the early stages. Complete there's no record of but it must've been a day or 2 at most after I submitted, so I'll estimate 1/14. Under review 2/3.

Is there any indication that the class visits are filling up?

I'm in that awkward spot of trying to plan my travel out there (coming from the east coast) while not yet having access to the admitted students website, where I imagine the answers to most of my 1,000 questions are.

They were really vague on the RSVP form- it just said that spots were limited and if you wanted to ensure a class visit you could try and arrange one on Wednesday or Thursday

Headed to the Bay Area to visit some family next week, so I scheduled an interview with admissions.

Think this will help me get off of FR2 by showing continued interest, or am I just wasting their time and mine?

It certainly won't hurt (unless you're like really awkward or something lol)

For those accepted during FR1, have any of you received your acceptance packets yet? I really can't wait to get mine! :D

It took me 2 weeks exactly and I'm on the east coast too.

Also, can someone please make a class of 2019 thread?

Not sure if this has been asked here before--

Does anyone know if it's a good idea to actually send a LOCI if you're WL... even though they say not to? I've been sifting through some other threads and the advice on this at other schools seems to vary-- some say do it anyways, others say forget about it. I'm wondering if anyone knows specifically about Berkeley on this issue...

The email I got detailed a little but about how Berkeley ranks its waitlist, but it basically said there's no point in sending in additional information since you've already been ranked and there's nothing that'll change your rank. So, I'm guessing you can send something, but it's not going to have an affect on whether or not you're getting off the waitlist.

Not sure if this was already posted, but it appears that this year they will reimburse travel for non-ASW visits. I know last year someone asked and the office said they only offer the $150/$300 reimbursement for ASW. This year the admitted students page says they will reimburse the $150/$300 travel for ASW or an individual visit before mid-April (but not both).

I was happy to read that, because ASW is coming up soon and I hadn't decided yet whether I should go. Now I can always visit in April.
