Finally got the interview request today and will be doing the interview tomorrow. Any advice/specific questions to prep for?

Unless i'm mistaken, we're allowed to do as many practice runs as possible? Wouldn't that mean we hear the questions ahead of time and get to figure out our answers during the practice rounds?

I did millions and millions of practice questions and none of the real ones were in the practice questions. They were actually a bit easier though.GarciaDad wrote:Also got an interview request today.meowmers wrote:Ditto! Nope. Different, generic questions are asked during the practices. That said, definitely use the practice sessions to adapt to the platform and get a feel for the timing. Good luck!GarciaDad wrote:Also got an interview request today.meowmers wrote:Ditto! As a heads up, I had less time on all of my real interview questions than most of the practice questions. For the practice questions, all of the questions that I got that had a little bit of time (sorry don't want to be too specific) were in the realm of "What's your superhero", whereas they gave as much as 2x as much time for the meatier questions. In the real interview, all of my questions were of this meaty variety but had the same time as the ""What's your superhero".
TL:DR - Get to the point ASAP in all of your responses and be as concise as possible

Sorry to hear about the rejection... What are your stats?Clytemnestra wrote:Rejected, a few days ago, after interviewing a few weeks earlier. I was a bit surprised considering I have been admitted to two higher ranked schools already (requiring interviews as well).

Hmm. Just completed the interview. Threw me a bit because there were none of the typical "why cornell?" "why ithaca?" "why law school questions?"
Guess it's just the luck of the draw. Feel slightly better about this one than my last web interview but I guess I shall see.

Can you do the practice questions on a different date from your real interview?

I had my status checker update for interview request (1/6), post-interview "interview requested" date (1/8), and now back to under review. Do we know if that flip indicates a decision is coming soon, or have they not been consistent in use of the tracker?

Does anyone know when scholarships start rolling out? Or invitations to apply for the full scholarship?

Last cycle, the first wave of scholarships went out in the second week of March. That's only one data point, but I imagine the release date is similar year to year. The Hughes scholarship usually comes with acceptancemsmizz85 wrote:Does anyone know when scholarships start rolling out? Or invitations to apply for the full scholarship?
