I'm gonna be in San Fran next Thursday/Friday and was thinking of emailing SLS to see if anyone would be around from admissions to talk -- does anyone have any insight on this? Too desperate? I genuinely would like to see the campus but don't want to ruin what small chances I have remaining after surviving the ding waves so far. Was thinking after visiting I might send a LOCI expressing how they're my top choice, I loved visiting, I just got a new job, blah blah blah.. Would love any feedback!

As FlipTrip pointed out, this is a super busy time for them so you most likely wouldn't be able to actually sit down with someone. But the last point of your comment appears spot-on and appears to be a substantive update that can be paired well with a visit. Better than the LOCI that just says "I <3 SLS #bleSLSed"

That's ~275 total after staff. If SLS classes are 180, with 45% yield, they accept around 400.

So that means there are about 125 spots left.

They admitted 433 last year so it'll likely be similar this year, those extra spots might save us, keep the faith!!

According to LSN, there was a 3-week span in March with no new admits. Scrolled through last year's thread to see if what was said there aligns with LSN; no calls were reported from March 4 'til 28th? 29th?

Wonder if this trend will hold, or what explains the radio silence.

Also, desperately need new hobby.

Tell us how go trick the Stanford Gods into letting us in.

I wish I had something useful to contribute to this. Perhaps a ritualistic sacrifice could help. Find someone who wants to go to SLS just like you do. Convince that person to do something clearly ruinous to their chances, like write an LOCI that brags about getting into Yale and wondering what exactly SLS has to offer in comparison, wait six days, draw a picture of four cats playing poker and check your email. Your note from Dean Deal will be waiting for you.
