Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

Also, it looks like Stanford has completely redesigned its website. Which is good, because the previous layout was boring and confusing. Good move Stanford. You're so smart and cool. I love you Stanford.

NEW POLL NEW POLL NEW POLL PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE DDDDDDDDDDDCCCCCCCCCCCCC

Sucking up to SLS I see. Good call
Due to popular demand, I will be putting up a new poll. For posterity, here is the result from the previous one.

Image

As you can see, most voters are applying because US News told them to. In second place there is a tie between those who are enthralled by its employment numbers and culture, and those who are just resignedly submitting an app because the hope keeps the despair at bay, if only temporarily.

In a surprising third place are those who are not applying, but continue to come to the thread because they hate Stanford, and me. Let's hope that this unhealthy fascination with me does not escalate.

To be 100% honest, that was a late edit. It's possible to edit polls and keep the votes as long as you keep the number of options the same. So I had one lame answer and swapped it for Jimmy's better one.

I voted lottery tickets. You've got to be in it to win it.

I sure hope I don't abuse the ability to change poll options some time in the future....

c I would have voted for that one. But now my vote is forever cast

It's back to one chance to vote.

Also, the current leader in the poll is the choice to say that you hate me. Why?

You may have to follow Salander's lead on the Yale thread and just give up hope of hitting 30 votes. :?

Unfortunately, this was said by Donald Trump.

So Stanford is not letting me apply. It says that there's a problem with the app. Why, Stanford? Don't you know I love you?

I'm pretty sure the Stanford application is supposed to be out tomorrow. I'm not sure why LSAC is listing it for today.

You got this!

I feel like Stanford is almost as much of a black box as Yale. I don't have any reason for thinking this other than the fact that I feel like I should have a better chance of getting in with my numbers than in reality I do. I'm a really bitter person at heart
That's sweet. I'm still going to panic though. You and I probably about equal for Harvard and Stanford. I'd be willing to wager you get in to Harvard.

OP's log, star date 2015.245

One day has passed since submitting my application. No communication from Stanford. Last year people were getting emails the same day they submitted. Anxiously awaiting to hear something. Anything at all...

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Working on the app right now and need advice. How do I list a full time volunteer experience in the employment section? It's not an internship, so I feel odd putting unpaid internship, but all the other options seem to indicate paid positions.
