Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

Congratulations, that is so exciting!! Good luck with the rest of your work day - I'm sure no one will blame you if you're a bit jittery and distracted :) And thanks for the heads up about calls! Hoping they send some positive emails to internationals soon...

I wonder what the volume of calls is for SLS, whether it's just calls when there's time in the day or a bunch of calls scheduled in a single day.

I talked to my friend at SLS last night. He informed me that the majority of his class seems to have been accepted in February or March. He was accepted mid-February with ridiculous stats. He also had stories of many friends getting in much, much later. One got off the waitlist in late July.

We shouldn't worry too much now! I hate the thought of waiting any longer though.

Go Necho!

You should go for an epic run/workout to use of that adrenaline and take a celebratory afternoon off work :)

I'm convinced that Stanford's amazing placement is totally handicapped in its favor by the fact that we all decide in the midst of the deathfrost. They should send a palm tree leaf with their acceptance packet: they'd pass Harvard.

Wow, congratulations! Three straight days of calls!

To those of you who have received good news this week and haven't done so: if you could share details re: complete date/stats either here or in Benwyatt's Awesome TLS Stanford Spreadsheet that would be awesome.

Congrats to all you amazing future lawlyers

On a less happy note, does anyone know when rejections are released (via status checker/email/snail mail)?

Thanks!

Hey all,

I applied around mid november. Haven't heard anything yet and keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm a little worried that I should have applied in september as soon as applications were accepted. I'm a splitter and I wonder if the extra time would have made a difference. Am I being paranoid or splitting hairs over mid-november vs. september?

Yes, I think you are. Regardless it's out of your control now so no sense in worrying about it.

+1

Def being paranoid, mid-November is still early. As long as you beat the January rush, you're good.

In the past dings and waitlists were indicated by "Decision Letter Sent" on the status checker. None of those have been reported to my knowledge.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
