What about the inside?
also this is the entrance I think its alright.
and plus your in NYC. what your school looks like doesn't really matter as much here as it does when the school is the only thing of note in the entire city.

I love that Columbia puts up a preview of its application for the upcoming cycle. Does anyone know any other schools that do this?

Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
CLS shot me down for a solicited fee waiver request but at least they were super polite about it:
Looks like it'll be a hidden fee waiver, then. For equity reasons, Columbia, itself, does not process requests for fee waivers. Rather, Columbia utilizes the application for determining eligibility for fee waivers directly through Law School Admission Council's mechanism. Once eligibility has been established and approved by LSAC, candidates will automatically receive a fee waiver for Columbia Law School upon submitting an application for admission.

Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
We expect applicants currently in school or recently graduated (i.e., applying within less than approximately one year of receiving their degree) to submit two academic letters from faculty who can provide insight about their candidacy.basedvulpes wrote:Is this a requirement for everyone or only those with 2+ years of WE?pittsburghpirates wrote:This is awesome. Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Yeah, I just asked my boss for one yesterday after I caught that. For what it's worth, he seemed willing, just a little unsure about what to say. I'm coaching him through it though. My boss is pretty chill.basedvulpes wrote:pittsburghpirates wrote:The app preview suggests that it should be for anyone that is currently working full time... May be worth reaching out to the admissions office on this one. Definitely don't want to screw it up!" For applicants currently working on a full-time basis,
a letter from an employer or immediate supervisor who most recently supervised your full-time work is required and may
replace one of the two faculty letters. In some instances, applicants may find it extremely difficult to obtain one of the
required appraisals. If that is the case, applicants must use their best judgment to determine what letters should be submitted
to complete their file, with the understanding of how valuable letters of recommendation are to our evaluation of their
qualifications for admission."

Thanks for doing the research. I guess I'll just wait and hope that they like me....salander wrote:CLS shot me down for a solicited fee waiver request but at least they were super polite about it:Looks like it'll be a hidden fee waiver, then. For equity reasons, Columbia, itself, does not process requests for fee waivers. Noo, I'd probably need close to a half ride to be able to justify.
