Re: Northwestern c/o 2019 Applicants
Quick question about the off-campus interview, are the alumni that conduct these interviews part of the Admissions committee at NU? I'm trying to debate whether I go with the off-campus interview or the video interview. It seems like the admissions staff would get a first person account with the video as opposed to the off-campus alumni? Can't decide weather this is good, bad, or anything at all, just don't want to be at a disadvantage with either option...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2019 Applicants
Makes sense, thanks. I'm of the belief that in-person is always the way to go, but I don't see how an account from an alumni would be better than a direct video to admissions. Does anyone know how they go about getting the information from the alumni interviewer? Any general thoughts/opinions?benwyatt wrote:Off-campus interviewers are not part of the admissions committee, they just help out with the interviews.Cochran wrote:Quick question about the off-campus interview, are the alumni that conduct these interviews part of the Admissions committee at NU? The alumni interviewer does a write-up and submits it on your behalf.Cochran wrote:Makes sense, thanks. FYI NU is livestreaming a "historic announcement" right now- http://www.law.northwestern.edu/about/n ... cfm?ID=765
Maybe they were just really impressed and wanted to recognize one of our applications. More likely, it's a strategic plan with a fundraising announcement. We'll see!

Wow, the Pritzkers just gave the largest donation to a law school in the history of donations to law schools. $100 million.
It's now being re-named as the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.

Pretty awesome that apparently a big chunk of the $100 million is being put to use on clinics and financial aid. I like both of those things.slippin_jimmy wrote:Not surprising, I heard yesterday the school was getting renamed. Definitely not on-campus, way too far. I'm trying to decide between off-campus or video, right now. But my main priority is getting the application done, lol. If you're trying to do on-campus, I think they have available days marked on their website. You can probably call right after you submit to make sure, or ask them when their last day for on-campus is.

Nice man, you're ready to go then! I'm still touching up my personal and waiting for my score. Should be ready to submit within the next few days.fips tedora wrote:I've already signed up. When doing the app how did y'all upload the certification letter form? Or did you mail hard copy to admissions?
