Will keep y'all posted?
Yes, please do! Good luck! When Johann tweeted more decisions later this week I thought there wouldn't be any movement until tomorrow or Friday.
Will do! (also long time thread lurker here, hello!)
I actually checked it this morning too and it still said complete, so I might be one of the first to see....
Interestingly the decision delivery system says my application went complete as of 1/27. I'm a little confused, because the status checker (with the LSAC login) says I went complete back in November.

In just now! Is merit scholarship information usually contained in the decision letter, or does that come later? Or do you need to fill out the scholarship application and write the essays first?

Mine just says it won't be sent via post. It doesn't seem to exclude the possibility of an email.

Johann tweeted that there won't be decisions today and that we should go stalk other schools- heads up for other stalkers like myself.

Thoughts on Michigan vs. Northwestern? USNWR puts Michigan higher but I know that isn't everything.

FTFY
Short answer: they are peers so it comes down to things like goals, money, fit, etc

Pretty sure that's the point of hold - maybe to weed out the people not serious about Northwestern. But it's pretty frustrating nonetheless, they certainly take their time!

The biggest differences between the school that I've gleaned have been that 1) Northwestern's home market is of course bigger, and Chicago is hard even for Michigan students to break into, and 2) Michigan's LRAP is (in my opinion) miles ahead of Northwestern's. Of course, the latter doesn't matter if you're looking at biglaw, but for PI or smaller firm interests, it matters a lot.
That's just one person's analysis, though.

I haven't gotten to visit Michigan, but when I visited Northwestern all the students I spoke to had just secured their 2L SAs and indicated that NU was "firm heavy"

NW's location is an advantage, but Michigan has a lower CoL and (arguably) greater prestige (and certainly greater lay prestige, though that isn't a deciding factor).

While yield protection is definitely a thing, NU's interview process can also account for some people getting into higher-ranked schools and dinged at NU.

Does anyone know whether the "optional interview requested" box in the status check's Requirements List is meant to show your original interviewer has submitted an eval? Or is this just for an additional interview, at the request of admissions?
I interviewed back in November, submitted 12/31 and have been telling myself it's just for supplementary interviews, since my status shows as being complete...but now I'm antsy and nervous that the box isn't checked because my original interviewer never submitted his review

... thoughts?
