Are we only able to request interviews starting Sept. 15, too?
I called this morning- they said they'll have something online with an updated interview schedule in "a week or two." You can't schedule interviews today :C
Bummer :/ I'm guessing since it says interviews start on Sept. 15 we should expect the schedule to open up sometime next week. Thanks for the info!

Reminder that the fee waiver link on Northwestern's website is now live. I got my waiver code this morning.

Did the online interview format change???

http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissi ... ideo-chat/
JD Program and LLM Program applicants are welcome to participate in an Online Video Interview Program. The Admissions Committee is excited to get to meet you virtually, through the medium of Online Video Interviewing. Members of the Northwestern Law Community have recorded the questions so that you will be able to get a sense of our culture and values.

The process is simple - You will need an Internet connected computer with a functioning webcam and microphone. You will be asked a series of questions, given prep time, and a set amount of time to respond to each question. It should take about 30 minutes to complete and can be done on your own time. The system allows for unlimited practice sessions but once you start the formal interview questions, you will only get one chance - this allows the Committee to see your candid responses.
I'm planning to apply ED but I'm also wayyyy out of state and working so Skype is pretty much the way to go for me. Hoping there won't be a preference/different weight if you interview through this new method vs. interviewing in person...

I'll be in Chicago for a few days in October already, and I think I'd personally prefer an in-person interview. So it would be nice if I could fit it in then.
Yeah, I'd rather take a long weekend and interview in person. I look like a doofus in videos.

However, there will then be a permanent record of my doofusness that is easily transmissible.

I'm in the same boat (gonna be there on the 20th of October if you want to grab a coffee!). It's a little murky on timing, but when I called two days ago, they mentioned they usually have 8 or so on campus interview slots a day, though that could change. So the odds of it working out for the both of us seem ok, provided we keep checking obsessively.

Checking in. I lived in Il for a short while in the summer. I just hope I can survive the cold wind of the winter. This snowflake doesn't like the cold.

Does anyone know if you can ED AJD?

Sure sure. I'm pretty sure ED candidates HAVE to do an in-person interview, but that may have changed? Either way, I'll technically be there on a Friday and a Monday, so more options. However, I'd rather not do a law school interview the day after I run a marathon and then most likely go birthday drinking.
? I've never heard of that being a requirement for ED. I asked anyways and ED candidates can interview whichever way suits them best, including online/Skype.
Still, very jealous of everyone who'll be visiting Chicago and/or doing in-person interviews.
