Checking in! One of my top choices, realistically. I love Chicago!

I find this fascinating. I wonder what "insist" actually means.

IIRC, Northwestern waived fees for anyone applying before a certain date last year. Does anyone know if they're doing that again?

Wow. Do you have a link to this thread? Or, specifically, this particular form?

I was more curious about the work experience requirement (I guess I quoted too much). Their most recent application checklist actually specifies LSAC letter processing: http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissi ... cklist.pdf

Yeah, I think that information might be out of date. David Van Zandt is no longer at Northwestern Law. Johann Lee (you will all become familiar w his twitter lol) is now in charge of admissions. I applied and was admitted last year, and there was no mention of any other rec form. I'm sure post-college work exp is beneficial, but it's definitely not necessary to be admitted. I would also recommend that you guys get working on the apps as soon as you're ready so that you can sign up for interview slots. Last year both skype and in-person interviews were available. Unless you're in or near Chicago, I'd def recommend skype (I interviewed via skype as well) because several people flew out only to have brief interviews w 3Ls that were overall not helpful.

As far as I know CLS is the only school that makes an employer LOR a requirement, and iirc that is only for those who have been out of ug for two or more years. SLS also used to have a separate LOR form, but now they too only accept letters through LSAC. HTH
