And as has been answered so many times before: no one knows, it's not a rejection until it's a rejection. I'm still waiting since November without a JS1.dietcoke1 wrote:This has probably been asked already. But, if complete in mid-January and no JS1, I'm essentially just waiting for a rejection right?

How early? I'm a 2/9 JS1.gamerish wrote:Ah, I should've said mid/late Feb. JS1s. LSN does show early Feb JS1ers being accepted in the first JS2 wave in March for last cycle-lemonlyman- wrote:I'm thinking we might see some Feb. JS1s in the next JS2 wave. Looking at the spreadsheet, it seems quite a few of the last wave of JS2s had interviews throughout January, all the way down to the 28th and 29th, while it also wrapped up some of the earlier decisions. So maybe the remaining January applicants will be taken care of along with whatever February JS1s they are ready to make a decision on? Or maybe it's just wishful thinking...gamerish wrote:I'd imagine so. If they're weeding out all the dings for January JS1ers now, they're probably wrapping up JS2 decisions for those same people as well. And they still have another wave of dings/WLs and JS2s to do for the February JS1ers before April 1st so they don't exactly have a whole lot of time.hopeful94 wrote:When are we anticipating the next js2 wave? My sympathy to those who have been dinged
Had my JS1 with JS herself today, went pretty well I think! The structure was different from what I was expecting based on people's posts but other than that, very enjoyable! Now for another potentially long wait.... Fingers crossed for more JS1s for the long waiters, I've been there and feel your pain! Sending good vibes

Well Harvard will do as they do. You can technically hear at any time.lawkward wrote:So we're looking at waiting through April to get any word?gobears!! wrote:I applied two cycles ago and experienced a similar delay but ended up getting dinged right at the end of the cycle. Thoughts?
She'll find it eventually, right?
Harvard used to have a formal "Hold" status which was eliminated two or three cycles ago. I'm assuming we have that status in its informal existence.

Yaay, congrats!nalle wrote:Just got a JS1 invite, went complete mid Feb.
Does anybody know if there have been other instances of JS1s and dings happening the same day?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Not necessarily, although unfortunately it's probably the most likely outcome. A fair number of people every year go straight onto the wait list with no JS1 (they would still have to interview before getting in off the wait list though). It looks like the occasional straggler pre-decision JS1 does go out through the end of March. Basically, there's still a real chance of a waitlist, and a very small, but still possible chance of direct admission.dietcoke1 wrote:This has probably been asked already. I meant the TLS spreadsheet from last cycle, not LSN. Sorry bout that.

What would be the reason that they wouldn't have done all the current dings today?

Do we know why dings/JS1s seem to be scattered throughout the day instead of all released in a single email batch?somethingelse55 wrote:lunchBowman13 wrote:What would be the reason that they wouldn't have done all the current dings today?
