No JS1 for me.
To heck with all of you who got one :P

Just FYI, I'm 174/3.88. Right on the line for admittance, so we'll see. :)
I wouldn't worry too much. Those stats give you a great shot, and you may just not have gotten JS1 in the first wave because you submitted so recently. It may take some time for them to get through the 9/15-10/6 applicants.

Anyway, seems like you have a great chance, just my two cents.

171 does seem to be the most common score.

I went complete 10/1, not sure how late/early that is in comparison with the other JS1s

Does anyone have any idea what it means if I'm above both medians, complete late-ish Sept, and no JS1?

Not sure if I'm overreacting here or should be bracing for bad news to come :S

Definitely take a deep breath and try to be patient. You're above both medians. There's no need to panic. From last year, as far as I can determine from the spreadsheet, there were 9 JS1 invite distribution dates before January. More will be coming and there's no reason at this point to think that you've missed the boat. Now, if you get to January without a JS1 as an early completer, then it would be time to brace yourself for bad news.

If you want something to hold on to, only four days passed between first and second JS1 waves last year, so maybe your wait wont be long? *fingers crossed*

Congrats to all the JS1s!

Is there any sort of consensus as to whether last year's late cycle (for Harvard) was an anomaly or if it is likely to continue into this cycle? I know that it was unusual but I'm wondering if there were any reasons as to why it was unusual or if there were any indication that it was the start of a trend.

From what I can see of earlier years those with first-wave JS1s were all in the group that received late-Nov JS2s whereas during last year's cycle the first-wave JS1s seemed to be getting JS2s anywhere from the first day (Dec 15) all the way to February (yeah I did a lot of stalking yesterday, I'm owning it).

Anyway, really hoping that last year's cycle was an anomaly and this year will go back to the old trend, but I would love any information that could be given.

This year's first JS1 wave also broke the hallowed 4pm tradition - we're truly in uncharted waters now...

Relax :3

You're super competitive among even the top of the top!

Harvard should be nervous of you turning them down!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
