Ostensibly. I'd say wait for the night to pass. If you wake up and are still alive, then you're WL'd.WhiteHouse wrote:My condolences to those who were dinged (or congrats for finally resting in peace?)
What should we assume if we haven't received word of a ding yet? Does Yale even waitlist people?

Anyone else still waiting worried that the carnage here wasn't significant enough for it to have included all remaining dings?

Their waitlist is very small iirc so I'd expect more waves in the coming days. They certainly aren't shy about sending out decisions on weekends so maybe tomorrow the bloodbath will continue.theconsigliere wrote:Anyone else still waiting worried that the carnage here wasn't significant enough for it to have included all remaining dings?

Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
It'd be nice to get something on Twitter to the effect of 'Bad news tomorrow!' or 'Bad news early next week!' or 'Waitlist coming out!'
I'm taking the silence as a clear, though unspoken, rejection, so... at this point, I'm not stressing when in a 72-hour window--or whatever--I'm going to get the actual e-mail.
Ah, well. Those 'YLS, you hittin' me up?' Saturdays were fun while they lasted.

Why was last night different from all other nights? Because Yale finally let me move the fuck on with my life.

Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Did anyone with a 2015 complete date get the ding last night? After looking through the spreadsheet and LSN it looks like mostly (only?) 2016 complete dates were included in this wave.
Also I know it hurts and you are all beautiful people with amazing other outcomes but please take a minute to update the spreadsheet
Edit: I believe linguafranca was a 2015 completer. So maybe there is hope of a WL email if you went complete pre-January and still have heard nothing.
Or maybe we will all be Old Yeller'd in our own imminent ding wave

October here as well. I'm below both 25% and I'm a straight white male. I don't understand why they haven't nailed my coffin shut yet.Ensalada wrote:Oct 2015 complete date still waiting here.

Went complete November 13, but submitted in October. I'll be glad when my family can stop asking if I've heard from Yale yet.Ensalada wrote:Oct 2015 complete date still waiting here.

Have you all committed elsewhere yet? I'm also waiting but I went complete in JanuaryHildegard15 wrote:October 2015 and staying alive. Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I'm going to wait it out until May 1 (Harvard's deadline). I figure there's no real difference between committing now and committing a week from now, and even though Yale is almost certainly a waitlist or rejection, I might as well wait and see.hopeful94 wrote:Have you all committed elsewhere yet?
