Let's just say there was a loud crash from the kitchen halfway through the process (furry friend causing trouble) and now my carpet is wet and I'm a lil tipsy.gobears!! wrote:But what were your thoughts on the process.barley wrote:Weren't you supposed to stay and make sure I survived? (I did)

Re: c/o 2019 Applicant Compendium (2015 - 2016)
Ok, so I realized that I missed a couple regulars on my cartoon character reps. Here they are (I know everyone was waiting with bated breath):
Doublehoohopeful: The Ashleys from Recess. Doublehoo is the epitome of style (at least he talks about shoes and stuff way more than anybody else) and he has been quietly building up a clique in the UVA thread (my feelings definitely aren't hurt that you all talk so much in the thread of a school I'm not applying to). For his fashion and exclusiveness, he is just like The Ashleys.
The Abyss: Homer Simpson from The Simpsons. I know that Mr. Abyss has kids and drinks a lot of beer. I would imagine that he also enjoys donuts. even though I doubt that he chokes his child. What's more, I would bet that he would not argue with this characterization one bit.
Slippin_jimmy: Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time. I know that I already did an Adventure Time one, but this was perfect. On the show, Marceline is always too cool to hang out with the rest of the gang. She's aloof and acts like she doesn't care about what the rest of the characters do. However, she actually really cares about the friendships and takes every excuse to hang out with Finn, Jake, and PB. Slippin, I know you don't like admitting it, but you are one of the good guys.

I am perfectly ok with the Homer characterization. I'm not crazy about donuts though. The Simpsons are by far my favorite cartoon ever, so yeah it fits.
Homer: All work and no beer makes Homer something something.
Marge: Go crazy?
Homer: Don't mind if I do!

You're going to watch SEC football while attending an ACC school? That makes no sens...oh wait it's UVA football, yeah that makes sense to care about other teams. Carry on.Generally wrote:If we go to UVA together I will have you drinking sweet tea, watching SEC football, and loving bluegrass by the end of three years. Gators are 0-2 vs. my team. I enjoy watching college football in whole and don't root for conferences. I'm a Michigan fan and to hell with State, OSU, Penn St, and the rest of them. I never understood the conference pride.Generally wrote:Do teams outside of the SEC have football teams? I though they were all about basketball and swim teams? And yea, go Gators always and forever.
