I was listening to an NPR piece on that on the way home. Apparently the chess match wasn't the greatest ever, and it wasn't even the best of the tournament.

FWIW the movie looks decent. But who even knows.

Yeah, I caught the interview like half of the way through so I don't know who they were talking with, but they basically said that you're fine if you don't know much about chess (which I'm in that camp), but if you are an aficionado, you'll be annoyed.
