On an entirely unrelated note that I just remembered, I had a dream that slippin_jimmy changed her user name. I should probably get out more.

Wut.

Just like every other state in the country, you're going to have varying degrees of affluence and urbanization depending on where you are. I'm assuming you mean the northern part of the state is rich and entitled. I wish that was the case as I wouldn't have to worry about paying for law school.

Compared to NYC, Charlottesville, with just about everywhere else in the nation, would be considered to be in the boonies. Personally (and I'm probably biased), I love the fact that C'ville is in an absolutely beautiful setting with strong art, music, and food scenes. D.C. is only 2 hours away and NYC is a 6 hour train ride. Coupled with a reasonable COL, I think it's a great place to live.

Different strokes. I grew up in VA and have been trying to come up with a single reason to visit it once I get out of the army.

Hah. Like Newport News? If so, I'd say it's worth it because of Busch Gardens.

Around there, but there's also a (better) Busch Gardens in Tampa. But who knows, maybe I'll head back one day. You just never know.

One day when I am a lawyer and have paid off all my student loans, I will treat myself to air conditioning. :(

Good news!!

My boss is a champ and worked on my letter on Labor Day, and said he's almost done but has some extra space - so I just have to suggest a few other points I want him to touch on. I think that means he may be able to get it in sometime today!!!
