Yes. I was a bit surprised, too, frankly, but NYU's not my top choice so it's not that big of a deal.

How were you notified of the WL decision? Did you go DLS?

Email. I got DLS yesterday and then woke up to the WL email this morning.

I think it's neutral right now. If we survive this week without DLS, I am thinking we are on the cusp of being pre-WL admits and they are trying to get a few more admits before going to WL. This is a total guess, but I'd be surprised if we lasted this long just to get rejected.

It seems that there are waves of WL and Rejects from past years. I'd say it's still early and we wouldn't know if we were in the position I just mentioned until the last week of April.

Best of luck to all. If you lasted this long at NYU, chances are you have one, two or ten equally good options.
