I interviewed last Monday and have been waiting to hear back. Got hit with the infamous Liberty University call today....talk about a letdown. Feel like I am headed for the waitlist at this point.

According the the MyLSN timeline, the bulk of UVA's waitlist notifications go out in March though, so I would suspect that is where most of us are headed at this point.
Even with a 165, 3.4? I'm not surprised I haven't got an acceptance letter, but I'm a little surprise I haven't got dinged. 3 years of low-end work experience and upward grade trend, but I'm no accomplished soldier or Peace Corps hero.

Well March also has a huge wave of rejections...it's just their largest waitlist wave. Seems like if we've been waiting since October/November, the trend would lean waitlist over reject since they probably would've given the ding by now. Could easily go either way though.

Well thanks for the data. We will March to our fate then.

I interviewed with Dean Faulk, incredibly nice guy and a very laid back interview. He's very easy to talk to and let me ramble while giving a lot of great reactions to what I was saying. Good luck.

Thank you for the feedback and the well wishes. What kinds of questions did he ask? Do you have any advice for me as I head into the interview on Monday?

Interviewed with Jason Dugas this morning. It was a very laid back and interesting chat. I think it went very well.

Really hoping I hear back relatively soon! It would be nice to see something else on the status checker other than "under review as of 10/8."

He asked some questions about lines on my resume, what's the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and why UVA. We got on long diatribes about my UG, military experience, and the honor system. Like I said, it was very laid back and he lets you talk about the things you want to talk about. It's also very conversational. I wore an orange tie, he had an orange sweater-vest on. I attribute my admission at the end of the interview completely to this fact. Maybe go for a matching pocket square to guarantee a Dillard.

In on 2/29 after an interview with Cordel Faulk, Assistant Dean for Admissions. Went complete on 11/13.

In the interview, I was asked (1) why UVA, (2) what has been the best day of my life, (3) what has been the worst, (4) what do I want to be doing in 10 years, and (5) what do I want to be doing in 30. I was, then, invited to ask questions. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable interview.

Your memory is better than mine, these were the exact questions I was asked.

Same, except I believe question 3 was phrased as the "most challenging day," not the worst.

My question 3 was, "How much money would it take for you to join us in C'ville?" To which I replied, "Every money." To which they replied, "See you in August".

Is interview a prerequisite to get in UVA (like Chicago/Harvard)? My impression from reading their website is that it isn't, but it seems like a lot of admits itt got interviews. Am I missing anything?

Thanks for confirming. I started to doubt myself on everything as the wait got longer and longer.
