Accepted with 24k a year! Would be nice to go here and live with family, but I got in to some better schools with the same scholly offer so I'm gonna try and negotiate in March and see how it goes.

Applied a week ago, still waiting! How long did it take for those admitted to hear back from when complete?

Applied in October and admitted back in December with decent scholarship. Probably won't end up going there but it is a good option to have!

Does the status ever change to in review or anything? Mine just says complete for a while now but the date keeps changing.

Re: University of San Diego c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-15 cycle)
Just got accepted with a $24,000 scholarship. Was dying to make it out to a law school out in SoCal but gave up on that idea due to my 3.2 GPA making scholarships unlikely. After seeing that I not only got in but it's actually affordable, I'm starting to have second thoughts about the law school in the Midwest that I was rather set on that's marginally ranked higher and is still cheaper, anyone have any insights?

It depends on where you want to practice/ what the other school in question is. If you go to USD, you will be pretty much limited to practicing in San Diego or Riverside county, or maybe some firms in South Orange County. I mean, San Diego is one of my favorite places, so you could definitely be "stuck" in worse locations.Monster1776 wrote:Just got accepted with a $24,000 scholarship. The other school is University of Oklahoma College of Law for slightly cheaper. The twist is my family runs a decent sized small practice in Oklahoma and I've got a few connections from that family business so I feel like I could always return there if need be. My thoughts are to go to school and network out west and have both regions as options instead of just consolidating myself to Oklahoma.cal2013 wrote:It depends on where you want to practice/ what the other school in question is. And on the side note of being stuck in San Diego, while I haven't made it down there I have made it out to Long Beach several times and have a cousin that I love that moved down there. Heard nothing but good things about San Diego, would be a dream to be out there if not at least for a few years.
