Application Timeline:

The School enrolls students only in the fall semester, and the Admissions Committee accepts applications from September 15th through March 31st preceding the fall semester to which admission is sought. Applications are reviewed on a "rolling basis" - in the order in which they become complete-so it is advantageous to apply sooner rather than later.

Once an application becomes complete, an applicant will receive a decision approximately 6-8 weeks after the completion date.

Overall, grads fare pretty well. Many, many go into private practice (mostly in big law, but I know people in mid-size and small law firms as well). Personally, I think Fordham's connections with the law firms are the strongest of the three practice areas (non-profit, law firm, or government). Now that applications have gone down for law school, I think benefits in job opportunities will be greater.


Best locations to live: anywhere on the Upper West Side. Apartments are usually walkups, especially if you go further uptown, but there are trains that drop you off mere minutes from the school. And the ride itself will be short and sweet.
As for my experiences with competition in the classroom: some people are intense, some don't give a shit, and most fall into a happy medium. I always avoided the library during exam time because people are cray cray, haha.

No matter where you guys end up, my biggest piece of advice is to get a mentor who is at least one year above you. The wisdom you will get as a result is priceless.
